Steve Johnson at 10? had a brilliant year but may be a bit high IMO
Foley behind Shaw, Edwards, Johnson, Hird and Fletcher on this years form? I doubt it.
Does Mike base this on this years form or a bit of everything? (Serious Question)

No idea pup but the cats and Johnno have had an awesome year so i wouldn't knock it too much. Johnno was inform for every game from round 6 onwards.

I wondered the same thing
If Judd is the 20th best player in the comp then surely he is weighting things heavily based on 2007 form. The guys at 1-19 are great players but in an overall sense is Kane Cornes a better player by 8 places than Chris Judd????

No Scott Thompson? IMO he had a better year than Edwards and was far far better than Scotland.
Riewoldt should be ahead of Mooney as well.
Pavlich should be higher.
Even though i am picking through it, its good Mike does this, he puts his opinions on the line and not many others put their top 50 up. I am not a big fan of his but i like that he goes to the effort for this. I might have a crack at in the coming days and post it here and we will see what you reckon.

the big question in my mind, what is Mike Sheahan's criteria for the top 50, for example
is it based on the current seasons performance, or a players value to his side, or a players overal capability to take control of a match....
Just taking a glance, Johnson and Scarlett would be in my top 50 but not as high, and I would definitely have Pavlich, Hodge and Franklin higher as they are pure match winners
From a Crows perspective, Thompson has had an outstanding year, definitely a better year than Edwards, and probably a better year than players like Scotland who looks good in an ordinary team.
I also find it difficult to accept how you can leave the truck (Rutten) out of the top 50, how many forwards have kicked a bag against this bloke, not too many

Mike keeping going on about how underrated Edwards is, therefore he thinks he's a know-it-all by putting Edwards n his 50.
Thompson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Edwards.

I'm not so sure, Thompson needs to be more accurate in his disposal first before I'd rate him above Edwards, although I guess Edwards will start slowing down and perhaps move to the back pocket in the near future.

No doubt Thommo's disposal isn't elite, but Edwards' disposal is
very ordinary. Everyone seems to overlook it but its the truth.

yep rutten should have been in before edwards- he killed brown this year and brown is a deserved number 2 - i reckon i'd have him as my number 1.
Edwards shouldn't have made it this year - no way

Do you watch crows games. (Edwards disposal is very ordinary) i am sorry but you have NO F#*kEN IDEA.. seriously how often do you see Tyson edwards make a mistake.... Tyson Edwards
k 348 h 232 p 580 m 132 ho10 t 92 ff 16 fa22 g 7 b 8 e 88%
All stats thanks to Champion data
K = kicks H= handball P= Total disposals m=marks ho= Hitouts ff=frees for fa=frees against g=goals b= behinds AND THE BIG ONE E=Efficiency
SO i dont know but 88 percent seems ok to me
And also thats 13th for total disposal crows best. he did definently desrve it
cant believe people still underate him
