Love it or hate, Im willing to say that this season in the AFL there will be plenty of it. With the success of the Swans last season and there style of game there will be plenty more.

Just another tactic. Probably been used for quite a while under a different name..?

Interesting to hear Brian Royal's comments that with the ability to instantly kick in after a behind this year, that teams will probably give away the first kick and set up a zone across the centre of the ground.

Indeed - it used to be called stacking the backs.

During Malcolm Blight's time at Geelong, the Cats played open and attacking football that was brilliant to watch. However, no flags!! At the moment Geelong (and Adelaide) play that similar 'accountable' style as Sydney and I expect all three clubs to do well again this season. I'd rather be an ugly winner than an entertaining loser any day...

Spot on REB if it works they will use it, really no need for discussion.

I'm waiting for the day that they line up like soccer does - everyone behind the ball.
