He's nominated Carlton as the club he'd like to go to.

They're working on a deal now.

Have we said we're gonna make the finals next year? I know as probably does Benchy that the CFC
are a good 2 years away from finals participation. Judd will be 26 then hopefully in the prime of his career.
This is a big step in the right direction if Carlton gets Judd to Princes Park. Judd brings money, sponsors, supporters and
more members. He will encourage blokes to want to stay at Carlton and is a massive gain for a football team.
The fact that Carlton have lost Kouta & Lappo, possibly Lance leaves a huge hole in the salary cap and experience.
Something that Judd will assist with (especially the cap part  ).

Judd will be very effective at plugging the majority of Carlton's salary cap hole!

FWIW I think that Judd going to Carlton is the best result for football in general. Carlton supporters must be salivating at the prospects of their midfield in 2-3 years. Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens & Carrazzo. Throw in Scotland as well, who is getting on but goes very well still.

Stevens wont play again. You heard it here first.

Apparently it will be judd to Carlton, and Josh Kennedy to west coast (formally of east perth) and picks 3 and 20

$7.5m over 5 years, Carlton is paying Judd approximately 1 / 6th of it's Salary Cap

Begs the question, will this restrict Carlton down the track in retaining young quality players, for example, will they be able to pay young Gibbs market value couple of years doiwn the track....

It is a lot of $$$$ and it may choke carlton down the track in specific to it's list management

It will make it extremely difficult for Carlton to build a strong list with depth

In the short term. It will be interesting to see how Judd goes without a Gun Ruckman giving him first look at the footy, and without a mature quality midfield sharing the work load

Probably what the eagles are looking for, ie high draft picks and a Key position player.

Maybe not a mature midfield, but still an improving one. With Nick Stevens, heath Scotland, Murphy, Bentick there is some good players. Granted not as imposing as the eagles midfield, but not a bunch of duds.

I agree with the ruckman comment,

Why would he concentrate on the number 3? Does Rebecca Twigley want to go to Melbourne,or not?

That my friends is the one and only question Chris judd should have asked himself.

I think Murph will keep no. 3 and id be very disappointed if we gave up picks 3,20 and Kennedy. I think that 3 and 20 with possibly another lower pick would be enough.

I'd settle for 3 & Kennedy.
Pick 1, Kreuzer who the "experts" say is a better underage player than Judd  . Plays like a midfielder, yet can ruck. If he's as good as they say perhaps the need for a quality ruckman will be bestowed on the Blues quicker than most think...
