The worst common denominators which you haven't metioned are the moronic Crows supporter that follow Port in the GF, they're worse than either of the groups you metioned. Morons of the highest degree with chips on their shoulders who aren't real football fans IMHO.

At least the Crows fans going for the Cats realise its club footy and are real fans.

I won't go as far as saying they're morons, but I really dislike the fence-sitting 'SA supporter' mentality. There are 2 teams in SA and they are ARCH RIVALS. You support one and hate the other.

The worst example is the select few that attend the showdown wearing a scarfe from each club. This presents the only situation in which a Power and Crows fan can unite - in telling such a punter to MAKE YOUR BLOODY MIND UP!

i concur you follow 1 team all year if they miss out so be it. If port werent in the GF i would watch the game only as a football fan not cheering for one team to beat the other but to see a spectacle. This is what irks me when others just become over night supporters. We have our footy trip this weekend and i know for a fact that there is only one cats fan going but will tip there will be a majority of blokes on the cat wagon which is good for a heckle but not when they carry on like they have always fancied the cats. Hope its a cracker of a game and the one thing thats sure to happen is that i will need to watch a replay of the game cause the old memory might be a tad rusty come sunday morning.

I can't ever imagine supporting Port Adelaide in anything.

But I would never go as far as calling people who might support both moronic. Not everyone is a die-hard one-eyed supporter who shares love with hate hand in hand. If some people honestly feel "close" to both clubs because they are South Australian, so be it.

That is Mark's style and he wouldn't have been so successful over the last 30 years as a player coach if he didn't have that personality.

I hate Port but I have a soft spot for Mark as personally I believe he was a great coach at Glenelg IMHO our second best coach since Cornesy (after Mickan).
