What an awesome effort by this club, noone rated them a chance to do much damage this year, they are full of young blokes with a lot of heart and skill.
Only 1 kick away from a premiership.
Easily the best side I've seen this year besides Geelong.
I dips my lid to Collingwood and their fans, all class.

Could not agree more. The story of the season for me. Finals wins over Sydney and WCE away and within a whisker of a GF with that list at the start of the year who would of thought.

The team might have done well but their fans "all class"? I think not.

No, they were 1 kick away from the chance to win a premiership.
Port were the best side besides Geelong. They finished 2nd in the minor round remeber? and the Kangas will also finish higher than Collingwood by my calcs.

A agree with you that it was a fantastic effort by Collingwood in 2007 though.

Well, the way to the flag is now nearly clear for Adelaide's second best AFL team then!

i am glad geelong won tonight because in the event port makes the grand final i feel geelong is the better placed team to keep them from winning it

all of my logic in life goes back to "what would port hate"

which reminds me, i am selling wrist bands inscribed with the initials WWPH, to keep all the kiddies out there focussed on the big picture

I don't see how the path to Adelaide's next flag is any clearer?
I can;t see them winning it before 3067

Dude, he didn't say anything about the Crows, he quite clearly mentioned Adelaide's second best AFL team, ie the club that's won half as many premierships as the Crows.

It's not rocket science even for a Turquoise bandwagonner. :?

Meow! And I'm going to be supoorting the Power for the next two matches - how much more can a Norwood fan give to his state loyalty!

You're not a true Norwood or Crows supporter if that's the case.

bandwagonner - Going to every Port home game and at least half of their away games since '02 is hardly the stuff of a bandwagoner.

And the 2 flags arguement could be out the window in 2 weeks if we can get there. Then it will come back to overall win/loss ratios, which clearly shows the Powwaaaa are SA's no 1 side. 8)

Living in Victoria enhances state loyality and overides local SA antipathy. Of course, I could never support the PA Magpies, but I get sick of the Melbourne-centric bias I hear every day on the radio and in the newspapers and therefore lean towards SA teams first, then any other team outside Melbourne, working my way in via Geelong!

[All that bias is another good reason to nick off to the UK for a year or two.]

So..let me get this straight.
You get sick of hearing about Melbourne in Melbourne's papers and radio stations.
Yeah, fancy writing and talking about the city that you're based in.
How insular.
