the Roo's prove that talent alone does not drive results, a team needs to be honest, work extremely hard for each other, play to the team rules and game plan 100%

when the Kanga's do this, they are a very difficult team to beat, and often beat teams that have more talent, but lower work ethic and levels of discipline

That's a harsh call and a bit unnecessary probably

Ignoring that, I do have to say that the standard of 3 of the 4 finals so far this season (apart from the Cats) has been a tad alarming to me - this is when it is meant to move up a gear yet I've seen 3 fairly average standard games.

The 4 remaining teams are 8th and lower ranked teams from last season that would have to be one of the biggest turnarounds from 1 year to the next in history?

'97,'98 Crows and '99 Carlton were worse.

I did. The Hawks are the better team who happened to have too many unfit players and being a young team came out so flat after the highs of last week.

If 1 loss makes you a great premiership team (Ess 2000) then 9 (1997)
and 10(1998) makes you LUCKY.
Don't tell me that a team that loses 10 matches deserves to be called the best team

I think the Roos are a mediocre team with very few good players. Sure they work as a team but it’s a sad state when a team of ‘workers’ can win through to the Prelim.

what is alarming for me is this finals we are finally seeing the affect of the rule changes to our great game,

new interpertation to the out of bounds, hands in the back, holding the ball, other rules, not to mention the kick in's, have made the game quicker, removing a lot of the one on one contests.

this has had a huge impact on the traditional type of finals footy

personally, I am missing the hard ball contests, the game has become too technical, the whistle blows and the viewer / supporters have no idea which way it will go, especially marking and ruck contests

The only reasoning behind North Melbourne being the worst PF team ever was last week, I'm guessing.

But three things:
Geelong at the moment look unbeatable - which is not necessarily true of course

Every team deserves the spot they play in because they earnt it - saying that they were lucky is crap

And basing comments like the Crows being the Worst Premiers ever is also crap - it's the whole team that wins matches, not superstar names. Malcolm Blight has said before along the lines that he thought that some players went missing come the 1992 Grand Final, and that's the main reason why they (Geelong) lost.

Teams win matches.

your arguement falls flat on the fact that Collingwood are in the PF also and have won less games thans the Roos with travelling outside Melbourne 4 times compared to the Roos 10....still waiting for the PM
