Crows End of Year Dinner

oldie but a goodie..takes the shite out of my own team, but still funny...

ADELAIDE F.C.
END OF SEASON DINNER DANCE

Starter
Egg on Face
Chicken Wings (past their best)
Craig Flounder Stuffed
ArtiCHOKE Surprise (well beaten)

Main course
Humble Pie
Chump Chops, with Haz Beans
Manager's Beef (not rare)
Catch of the Day - Big Lemon Perrie (gutted) Tenderised Roo (well past its best)

Dessert
Sour Grapes (may be hard to swallow)
Fruitless Tarts
Raspberry Fools
Hard Cheese
Cream Puffs
Pav (withdrawn from menu - not available for next 3 years)
Drinks
Bitter Beer
Little Spirit
Whine
Chardonnay Empty Shelf 2005, 2006 & 2007 Champagne - sorry none ordered Mount Franklin Water

NB: drinks should be consumed from glasses as there will be no cups this year.

Guest speakers:
Leigh Mathews - "What it's like to play in finals, and win"
Mark Williams - "Giving youth a chance - how it can lead to success"
Gary Ayres - "I also coached the Crows to a Prelim but got sacked"
Malcolm Blight - "Tactics on match day - how they help win finals"
Function will go until late as there is no need for a curfew now that the season's over.
Transport to the function is available via the Crows' mini-bus, as just like Neil Craig, it's half a coach.
Part proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Simon Goodwin's TAB account.
So Crows fans bring along a Buddy and enjoy a great night!!!

when buddy belts you next week and port are out can we organise that for a end of season dinner for port power. everyone goes on about the crows loss. and they only lost by 3 points win that game and propably make the GF. and port only beat an undermanned eagles outfit by three points. funny how 3 points devides the whole state if you support port your happy and if you go for crows your unhappy
I love vegatarian food. It goes great with steak.

lol Adelaide are shit, st.kilda & brisbane deserved to be in the 8 more, they would have been more competitive

more competive do you go for the West Coast Eagles. they lost by 3 points and the crows lost by 3 points and they were not competitive.. but what were the EAGLES then

You could really go there with either adelaide team. In the last 2 years the crows have earned it as much as the power did in 02 and 03. So really its one of those pot kettle black situations.

this is a bit of a joke,

I can recall this being a forced decision not a deliberate strategy, I can recall Chocko continuing with the likes of an under performing Francou and an unfit wanga's and primus while the youth were playing in the sanfl

and it was not until Francou, Wanga's and Primus finally fell over the youth got an opportunity

so lets not kid ourselves that it was a brave move

Chocko played some senior players until he was force to play them no more, ths then triggered the opportunity for the youth

Lets not forget either how important the Cornes bros, Burgoyne bros, Lade, Wakelin, Wilson, Cassisi and Brogan have been this year - terrific years from all and all members (+ Tredders) of the 2004 premiership side.

lets not forget, port have had the highest number of players than any other club, playing all 22 minor round matches, funny enough, most of these players are their midfield types
