The coach will stay yet could he and the club take a look @ the people around him for 2008.

Geelong kept there coach yet had a massive football department overhaul at the start of the year and the fresh ideas are seeming to pay off !!!

IIRC didn't the Crows announce on the appointment of Jonas that they had the "best" football department going around??

Based on that statement you wouldn't think that they'd be changing too much in a hurry...

Well, without being privy to what they say in the coaches box, last week some-one would've had to have
said something re Massie on Buddy, Johncock/McLeod being stifled in the run from defence etc to Craig.
If nothing was said nor suggested then they should get the boot, if they said something and Craig declined the
advice then perhaps Craig should be looked at.

Just on channel 10 news, they reckon Jonas will move from backline coach to a player development role, and Hamilton will move to the backline role. Not sure what other changes will happen though.

Good to see some changes happening and the club is not sitting on its hands

Geelong, Port and the Roos are evidence of teams that can turn things around before anyone even mentions a 'window'

We have the faciities and the $$$$ lets get on with it!!! We have made the finals 8 times in the last 11 seasons lets keep going ...

Strike hard and strike fast is the new way it seems - Wallace can take his 5 year plans and stick them up his ..... :D

bloody hell that was quick   anyone would think Jonas does not want his CV being damaged by sitting behind Craig and being ignored and then being considered guilty by association.

RW do you have anything constructive to add here?

Or are you once again just sniping away at the Crows?

07......5 goals up on the most inexperienced team in the league ,an 8 day break v a 6 day break and get beaten
no sorry nothing I can find constructive here  .

Whilst not denying you your right to have a crack at the Crows, do you think Hawthorn is more inexperienced than Port Adelaide, Carlton, Richmond and Brisbane???

I would hardly call Hawthorn the most inexperienced side in the league......one of them yes but not the most.

I think you will find if you add up games played by the squad or average age they are just that.Crawford-Smith-Croad-Osborne-Dixon-Guerra maybe Vandenberg I would guess would be the only ones who played on saturday that would have played a final before.

young, ellis, thurgood, dawson, tuck, kennedy, thorp, renouf, murphy, munston, moss, morton, mcglynn, little, dowler, burchall, bailey. That would be 17 out of the SENIOR list of 38 that are as good as unknown.Throw in roughead, clarke, gilham, taylor ,franklin, boyle and lewis with less that 50 games I suspect and yes i do think they are the most inexperienced team in the league as that would be 24 out of 38 with less than 50 games!

add into the equation williams and jacobs and vandenerg who missed most off the year with injury(admit Vandenberg did play on saturday) that would leave them with 24 out of a possible 36 with less than 50 games to take on the crows an saturday . The defence rests!

Redden Whites:

Hawks the youngest team in the league? I think that needs to be checked properly - Carlton, Richmond and Brisbane would have to be close.

Here's Saturday team (note average games played per player = 100)

Guerra 133 games
Gilham 23 games
Birchall 38 games
Brown 95 games
Croad 200 games
Ladson 72 games
Young 42 games
Mitchell 97 games
Lewis 61 games
Crawford 289 games
Boyle 23 games
Bateman 97 games
Franklin 54 games
Roughhead 56 games
Dixon 201 games
Campbell 76 games
Hodge 110 games
Sewell 62 games
Osborne 84 games
Smith 219 games
Taylor 46 games
Vandenberg 143 games

The same calc for the Crows side shows and average of 121 games per player.

I am not questioning your point that the Hawks were less experienced than the Crows - just questioning the degree of difference, from your comments the Hawks are this bunch of first-year kids :?

not a crows fan. but from an outsiders point of view.

you may want to give the flooding tactic the flick.

Geez didn't realise crawford had played that many games only 11 to go until life membership. Well done. Actually Vossy was on same amount and still got life membership for some reason.
