Caaaan yooooou DIG IT!

Postby Booney » Fri Sep 07, 2007 11:44 pm

OH YEAH! Emotions are running as high as they can.Port Adelaide have shown, once again, that in the close matches we keep fighting and come up with the goods when needed.

I dont want to keep riding our luck too long, but while it lasts you have to take it!

Tredrea,Big Wa,the skipper stood up tonight.Kept presenting, did the shepherds the tackles, good on ya Wa.

Chaplin,Pettigrew,Burgoynes,Cornes',Surjan,Wilson,Salopek all showing some grit.

Ebert,Motlop and the Hoff, none of them were match winners, but combined they did enough against a defensive minded WCE who looked like they were going to hold onto a win with only 8 or 9 goals.

Cousins! OUCH!

To those playing next week, belt the living out of each other.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

That's a great win by the club Booney

Week off, Prelim at home - one of Hawks, Crows or Kangas (prob) - great chance to make the GF from here

Who would have thought! Go Crows make it an SA double ....

West Coast close to GONE now - too many injuries and prob now have to go through Geelong in Melbourne to make the GF
In between signatures .....

I thought they had blown it early in the last quarter by going defensive too early as usual, but they just pulled it off. Tredders looked hopeless early but came into it as everyone else slowed down, and he did a good job in the second half.

It was a bit weird at our house with me, a Crows fan, watching and telling my Port supporting wife how it was going because she couldn't bear to watch once Choco's defensive plan was put in to action too early yet again.

I blame it on her growing up in Queenstown. If it had not been for that she'd join us Chardonnay sippers and know in her heart that the Crows are the "Pride of South Australia"! [Actually we knocked off a bottle of Hahndorf Hills Rose while supporting Port against the Illeagles who don't look so good without their drugs!]

I'm diggin it Boonman. Carn the Powwaaaa!!!!!!

Cracking win by the lads. Forced to listen online, but the replay is on at midnight London time. Can't frigging wait.

May still have to book a flight home in 3 weeks time for the weekend!!!!

Dutchy, no fears on the Port side of the draw........for Port Adelaide. Who would want to make the trip to AAMI for a Prelim where the Powwwaaaa are undefeated in Prelims?

Poor first half, but the grit shown by the players in the second half was awesome.

Everyone writes us off, we've got so many young players, who've made so many giant strides this year.

Awesome effort for such a young team to win so many close games.

We're certainly not favourites from hereon, but the club is certainly on track for a very positive future.

Good on ya Booney. I take it you were there. It was a great game. There were two turning points for mine. One was the captains inspirational (1 percenter) efforts in the third term and the second was when Cousins went down. They were no show after that.

Why did they pick Judd? Yeah he kicked two but I reckon he butchered about three. You can't take in unfit players into finals...how many times do have to have this demonstrated? It is one area of football where the fans know more than the coaches.

Bring on the Cows or the Kangas.

Crapalaide might fancy their chances, but we're due to give them a touch up. A payback for the 2005 debacle would be perfect GF prep.

Port Supporters really showed they were all class last night Cheering wildly when Cousins did a hamstring. Well Done..

It was a great game, The match winner was Motlop, he destroyed Daniel Chick and showed why Chick wont get offered a contract next year. (Too Slow and Body Orientated)

Ebert was decent, and Peter Burgoyne cut WCE to shreds.

Judd is clearly not right and i question the selection after seeing him last night, the game really turned when Cousins did his hammy.

Too be honest i cant see and Port winning the flag the way they played last night. i think WCE are gone, may even make it a straight sets exit
