POWER CROWS GRAND FINAL ? SAGREAT

Postby mal » Sun Sep 02, 2007 1:00 pm

Nothing would please me more than to see the 2 SA clubs play off in the Grand Final.
What a scenario an AFL G/F in Melbourne to give all the concieted Victorians the shits.
I really hope it can happen
I will suPORT both clubs throughout the finals

Why do I follow both ?
Because Im a proud and parochial South Australian
I have no bias
Both are NEW forMALative clubs
AC are not an aMALgamation of several SANFL clubs
PP are not the SANFL Port Adelaide team, they are just using thier name.[sorry wharfie fans]
Thats how I view the teams NEW SA clubs in the AFL

So my catchcry will be ******SAGREAT***** :supz:  :supz:  :supz:  :supz:

Yes, as I said in another thread - waiting for "Showdown at the 'G".
[Unless the Vics banish it to AAMI because they can't face it.]

Would be interesting ut I doubt it will occur, the Power have put them in a super position to make the GF but the Crows well they will be lucky.

Any year will do - I just want to see the Vics struggle to come to terms with it. They can save face by turning Brisbane back into Fitzroy, and Sydney back into South, but if there isn't a remotely Victorian team in the GF they'll really struggle!

These clubs do not represent the SA footy public

With Sydney likely to win this means Crows will finish 8th and they will only meet in the GF if Port lose in the first week, if Port win in the first week and Crows win in the first 2 weeks they would meet in the Prelim..

For christs sake why does anyone in Adelaide thinks people in Melbourne are shaking under their sheets at an all SA grand final? I will be supporting both teams  ?maybe they will move it to AAMI stadium  (what and no-one buy tickets like other crows v port games and even more incredibly a Crows v Port final. All interstate grand final has happened already ya making a huge rivaly thing out of something that does not exist.

As I said, I live in Melbourne and the commentators over here have resurrected "Fitzroy" for Brisbane and started calling Sydney "South" when they looked like winning. I don't think there has yet been a final with no team they can identify with Melbourne by some form of mental trick and self-delusion.

Since the commentators on Melbourne radio do barrack for the Melbourne based sides, or Melbourne linked sides [though they try to maintain the appearance of not doing so] I'd like the opportunity to stir. :D

Port would have to lose to WCE for this to happen. Otherwise if Adelaide win both their finals and Port beat the Eagles, they'll meet in the prelim. And that would be ace.

you bet it would be ...1 of them has to lose and as a SANFL Member 1 could get 8 guest passes instead of 4 at Footy Park as the SANFL desperately tries to get a crowd there again.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm with mal on this. I'd like to see the two SA teams play off in the GF. I don't find Port Power anywhere near as irritating as the Magpies used to be. Having said that, there is not much chance of that happening. I think Geelong will take one spot and the second spot could easily come from any of the other 8 sides.

The Crows/Power is supposed to be an awesome rivalry, yet only got 36,000 to a showdown earlier in the year?

The SA/VIC thing is so over rated here in SA...

That is a good crowd actually!

I was only stirring Dutchy anyway - I think the Crows / Power rivalry is truly still alive and well
