Hooray for the Roo, at leat one more match for one of the best players in the comp over the past 15 years... cue wingeing

great effort for the crows to scrape into the eight, despite the "horror" season we've had.

I missed most of the first half but I must admit from what I saw that I would have thought a McGregor may have been better and perhaps Roo is passed it.
His goal when the game was on the line was all class though not to mention his early handpass to Gilly.
I still have nightmares when he won a game off his own boot at Kardinia Park a year or 2 back though and Im sure he'll improve with each game under his belt and the insperation he gives to his team mates would be immeasurable.

Hooray for Gilly, those who have seen him at SANFL level know he can play. He is now one of Dennis Comettis favourites due to his wayward/topsie turvey goalkicking. Better option than Perrie IMHO.

Agree LBT, but not too hard to be a better option than the sarge, who we are all simply over.

Roo showed his class and character slotting through arguably the two most important goals of the night early in that last quarter. Talk about captains goals - you won't find better examples.
While talking about the forward line - I like Porplyzia. I reckon he adds something the Crows haven't had since Peter Vardy. Burton is frustrating and not in his best form this year. Still dangerous, but still does things like handpass off when he should have just gone back and kicked a goal from 20m out straight in front.
Gill has done well since arriving on the scene. Unfortunately won't have a long career unless he can nail those shots from 20-40m out consistently. Certainly at least giving the Crows something until Hentschel comes back and that is what he was drafted for so his drafting has been a success. Hopefully he lifts his set shot kicking to AFL standard because he could be anything if he does that! He did kick a great goal from 50m last night.
Welsh is the most reliable of the forward line. Although that skipping for goal he does sometimes stuffs him up.

He looks a darn sight better than Bucks does that's for sure. Buckley is GAWN. The guy can't run anymore.

I thought Roo was understandably rusty against the Lions, last night he moved well and made a real contribution and should take some confidence out of the game heading in to next week.
