In terms of on field leadership, Sloane is the one that has gone missing and I never thought I would say that.

Criticism of @texwalker13 confusing. 20 goal assists (ranked 2nd in AFL), 33 goals, (8th - 1st on 39) and ave 2.75 goals per game (4th).
How do these stats stack up in their losses?
12 poss, 6 marks and 2.0 v Hawks
12 poss, 8 marks and 3.3 v Geel
15 poss, 3 marks and 2.2 v Melb
7 poss, 4 marks and 1.1 v NM

It's those around Sloane that aren't doing their job, he needs some protection, he cops a heavy tag and there's no one looking after him to enable him to get into the best position to get the ball.
Crouch or someone need to crash into the player who is trying to crash into Sloane, he is the engine but he's not getting any help, he is still the leading tackler in the comp.

This Sunday Sloane will be tagged by Ed Curnow and I suspect other Carlton players will target Sloane, like they targeted Gazza a couple of weeks ago. When Curnow goes to Sloane, all Crows players need to make a statement early on and get stuck into Curnow, even if it costs them a grand. Will be interesting to see what happens.

They'll bring in a 34 year old for his first game of the year to make a stand. Good long term strategy.

Carlton play the exact type of footy that gives the crows big problems, all out defence, numbers behind the ball, Jenkins and Eddie may as well not play, there will be no goals over the back this week

Why doesn't Sloane just stand someone else at stoppages & create a free player
