Not sure that's a great deal....

From who's perspective?

Carlton's IMO

Investing a lot in an unproven player.

A bit like Lycett eh? ;)

If he’s half as good as his brother is, it’s a win for Carlton.

Crazy.

Chis Burgess who went from West to Gold Coast as a compo selection got 4 years

Can't find anything to suggest he got 4 years? Got a link?

4 years! He hasn't done anything that bad to deserve 4 years at the Gold Coast.

Coming from Westies he’d be use to it.

True, when was either of your teams last premiership?

Yeah I don't get all the hype either. Averages 11 possessions after nearly 50 games.

He is a former Crows player so I should be saying he is crap but he can play. If he gets his body right he could be very good. My only reservation is that he is going from a team where he takes the 3-4 defender to a team where he will get the first or second best defender

I’m pretty sure the Port Magpies and Carlton have more combined premierships than any teams mate.

Buts it’s been far too long between..........

West have actually become my adopted SANFL side since the demise of the Magpies.
Went to 3 games this year at Mazda Stadium and quite enjoyed it.

Mackay and Curnow get the two best defenders, Casboult was getting the third/fourth.

McGovern may play in defence like his brother, Carlton are shit behind the ball.

St Kilda are now left with Billy Longer as their only ruckman, last year in 5 games he took a total of 5 marks. They are in for a world of pain if they don’t find another one.

Perhaps they have one of the extra Suns ruckmen lined up (Nicholls)?

The Sydney Swans have boosted their midfield stocks by securing Ryan Clarke from North Melbourne in exchange for pick 61.

The Swans received pick 61 from the Geelong Cats in a trade for Gary Rohan.

Clarke is a medium sized midfielder who has a large tank and is a prolific ball winner.

He joined North Melbourne in the 2015 National Draft as their second-round selection and has played 40 games, including 19 matches in 2018.

The 21-year-old averaged 20 disposals a game this year.

Sydney Swans Head of Football Tom Harley says the Club’s rapt to secure Clarke.

“We’re really happy to finalise a trade for Ryan from North Melbourne,” Harley said.

“At only 21 years of age and 40 games under his belt we think he has a lot of upside and will add some great depth to our midfield.

“We look forward to welcoming Ryan to Sydney and him joining our exciting young list

Think McGovern def plays in defence, then we can get rid of Jones and rowe trying to defend. Half back line of Docherty McGovern and Simpson looks ok. Only way i'd play McGovern forward is so Curnow could play on the footy (Charlie not Ed)
