I doubt Buckley will play again, and if he does it will be like when the Crows picked up Carey - too late in his career.

First Pav needs to decide whether he wants to stay at Freo, then he needs to decide that Adelaide is his choice of clubs, finally a trade needs to be agreed too by both Parties

If it gets to this point, Adelaide will have no choice but to trade their first round choice, if both clubs try and trade directly with each other, Griffen, Perrie and Van Berlo are all WA boys and may be considered

Personally I do not believe this will be the case, Historically with these big trades it usually involves multiple of clubs, one of the following may be sacraficed Meesen, Huson, Rielly, Douglas, to obtain a high pick from a Victorian club

One thing is for sure, no point in mentioning players like Jericho or Hinge, the Crows will need to give up plenty to get Pav to Adelaide

All I say is that the AFC just need to make it happen - if it is with just Freo so be it and if it is with 7 other clubs just make it happen !!!

PLEASE !!!

Having the Pav at full forward won't help if we never have the midfield to get the ball and kick it to him often enough, and that seems to be the problem at the moment.

I doubt very much that the Dockers would be interested in Perrie. Likewise Hudson too. Realistically, the Dockers would be after players such as Rutten and Knights, and a first round draft pick. Thats who Freo would want, but obviously the Crows wouldn't want to release any of those players. I just dont think the Crows, or Port for that matter, will be prepared to release players who the Dockers would be interested in.

The most likely scenario more than likely will be that he re-signs with the Dockers.

Did Adelaide get Jarman,Koster,Bond& Caven to Adelaide in Blights first year ??? No doubt one of you Crow guys know ???.I often think that when I hear the Blight was a genius line I wouldn't mind getting 4 x100 gamers ( or near to it ) to inject into a side with potential already written all over it at the cost of some old hacks to retirement and Sean Wellman. They did pretty well there I have to say !!

but, why does everyone assume, Ben Cousins is still on drugs and makes stupid comments about him, when he did nothing to no one and only endangered his life and no one elses.

Doesn't solve the FF problem, and they still have to get the ball to him at HF!! What the Crows need is some top, young, fit, midfielders who'll get first use of the ball and use it well.

1. He cut the rehab programme short, so he is likely to still be a user - you don't break the habit that easily.
2. Do you really think he didn't risk other people's lives by driving under the influence of drink and drugs?

Plus Brett James ... Caven was part of that 4 way win-win-win Jarman trade with Essendon, Hawthorn and Sydney

Koster, Jarman, Caven were all actually there in Shaw's last year

Aahhh the good old days :D

Thanks Hondo....while you are at it where did Connell fit in to the system also?Earlier maybe?

Another Adelaide win preceding that was getting Robran back also for free(unsure of that one...Randall Bone????).I know that he had to sit out a year but Hawthorn traded Rodney Eade,Ken Judge,Rod Lester-Smith and Dale (Australian Survivor winner)Dixon to Brisbane to get the Robran deal done .

Connell I reckon was 1995 IIRC

Also on the bench in the 1997 GF was Clay Sampson, traded from Melbourne

From memory 97 & 98 premiership players that came from other clubs were: Koster, James, Caven, Stevens, Sampson, Jarman, Bond, Robran, Ellen, Connell.
