3rd worst attack behind Melbourne and Saints
3rd Best Defence
4th worst Inside 50
Equal 2nd for Inside 50's conceded

Clearly something is not right with your conclusions from the stats as we have the 3rd best defence yet concede almost the most inside 50s.

Wouldnt this stat back up the theory of flooding as they opposition can get the ball inside their 50 but are unable to score due to extra numbers back?

Give it a rest Dutchy. Maybe ur side should think more defensivly and they might be able to even make a finals series! attack all u want, if ur defenders cant support the attack, what good are u?

Crows will be Top 4 this year, where will the Gold Coast Kangaroos be?

Dutchy it's because you keep drifting off into statements like "ugly" and "ruining the game" which tend to inflame things. Then when we hammer you you come back to saying "defensive" and wonder what all the fuss is about?

I would argue that every team plays defensive football as part of it's armoury - it's whether or not it's forwards can capitalise on the opportunities presented. The Crows have traditionally played numbers behind the ball AND been very attacking when it's their turn over the last 2 years. However, this year's scores are not continuing the trend and I can't argue the stats, only try to provide reasons.

Which teams don't put numbers back BTW?

I tried to read through most of the posts, but so many were shite that i gave up.
I'll just say this.

If adelaide had of won that match, it would have been one of the gutsiest, backs to the wall wins in the clubs history.

If you blokes wanna keep banging on about "ugly" footy and "ruining the game" you are missing the point.
They are undermanned at the moment, but still remain competitive.

Backs to the wall??? You were 3-1, playing against a side that was 1-3, i wouldve said freo was the side with their backs to the wall considering their start to the year - playing at home against a top four side from last year...

Well there you go :-# - how did they let that happen?

Anyway, Dutchy now you can join us "interstate" supporters and get stuck in to the other 9 Victorian clubs and how few times they have to travel :D

Looks like no Proplyzia and Rielly this week and maybe Birdman

On a positive, Bode and Welsh may be available and players such as Hinge and Pfieffer may get their opportunity

If you watched the game unfold you would know what i mean.
Injuries, playing AWAY against a top four side from last year, forward line not functioning well. etc etc.

This early in the season, win loss records dont put your back to the wall.

My point was that the game was a lot more important for freo than the crows and so i believe they were the team with their backs to the wall, they lose that game and their season is in real danger... i did watch the game and thought the crows threw the game away, let freo take the accendency in the last quarter and a few mistakes by the less experienced crows players were crucial...

Adelaide plays 11 home games with a DISTINCT home ground advantage
Now look at the ROOS home ground advantages , virtually NON EXISTANT
T/DOOM...GOLD COAST....big deal

Adelaide goes back to the comforts of AAMI after travelling
Roos go back to the concrete catastrophe[which they share with other clubs or Gold Coast...big deal
