Of course. Why would the fans be happy. Carlton put a lot of work into Sauce. I however said the Crows as in the football club, not the fans.
With the Jacobs trade, Carlton played fair with the Sauce to make sure he got to where he wanted. Sure the club would've been disappointed but I can't recall the Blues carrying on like Adelaide.
One day the shoe will be on the other foot re a SA lad wanting to come home, and clubs will have the memory of the way Adelaide spoke about the Gunston situation....

Jacobs would've just about played all year at Carlton if he stayed. At no stage did Carlton have all it's ruckmen up and firing. Sauce was a wanted player, and it was his choice not Carltons for him to leave. So if Gunston said he felt he was on the outer by being dropped back to Central throughout the season then his reason would've been OK?
