How about the 'Barracuda's'?

Well Gold Coast has been refered to as the Lifeguards?, no idea about Greater Western Sydney. Does anyone know it??

Too early for GWS, but a new guernsey and possibly a nickname for the GC may not be too far away.
Hard to see them producing an appealing look if they stick with red and gold as their colours though.

I heard this bloke was going to be their mascot:

That's a pretty good line up. If they have a line up anywhere this one they will go alright.

Surely the club song has to be an uptempo remix of 'Sunshine' by Ricki-Lee Coulter with rejigged "hard" footy lyrics.

Gold Coast girl, too...

The backs of the guernseys have been revealed.
Not giving away a great deal, but colours look to be the same as what they already wear.

From the article:

Other names that are credible chances to appear on this list (according to rumour) are Nathan Bock, Quinten Lynch, Matthew Spangher, Steven Salopek, Travis Boak, Bachar Houli, Shaun Grigg, and David Armitage.

Meter-Maids would have been better imo.

Cue horrendous clichés when the team is playing poorly on overcast days.

I doubt how "credible" that is given that Boak has already signed a new contract.

Dont mind the "Suns" name but the guernseys are too much like many others already on offer in the league.

They played the GC theme song twice this morning on Brisbane Radio. Not too bad as far as footy club songs go...fairly inoffensive a big improvement on Sons of the Scray, We'll never stop stop stop and We're flying high but not quite up there with the classic Victorian models.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that I don't mind the reviled Freo Heave Ho. Listen closely for that little bit of lead guitar that they throw in there ha ha.

It does to a some degree.
Obviously a wave suits the GC location, but maybe some scorching flames would've fitted in with the Suns nickname better.

Overall okay, but not great (the main Suns logo is a bit lame).
