Which is a good pick up, although it was pretty much sign sealed and delivered. Hes what the Eagles really need at the moment. So a very good pick up.

Also on good pick ups, I think port did well with there 22nd pick. Good pick in my opinion.

West could almost claim 4 players, as Mitch Robinson from tassie played a season for our juniors.

Westies had 4..
Hartlett, Slattery, Stanley and Mitch Robinson - he played maybe last year but definitely 2 years ago..
he was in fact the player when we were doing our pre season runs, we did a 4km trial had a couple minute break and started our 2.4km not long after, mitch robinson after 50 metres into the 2.4km decided to jump the fence and run home haha

I had the pleasure of watching Jack Watts' first interview as a Melbourne player in the flesh.
He is a wonderful speaker and if his football skills are as good as his interview skills, he is going to be a dead set star.
I predict he is a future Melbourne captain.
The media was in rapture with him, all the questions were directed to him or Dean Bailey about him.
Sam Blease, who was also at the table, didn't even get a look in, prompting Bailey to say at one point "I thought you would have got a question by now Bleasy".
Watts' interview skills had one hard bitten hack commenting "kids get training in this sort of stuff, but that's something else".
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
