Yeah right  An All Australian candidate last year for a guy who couldnt make a team that finished 13th?....good one

Id be happy for the Roos to give up their 3rd pick for Thomson, nothing more

Dutchy I rate McIntosh a lot, but obviously Laidley mustn't if he's put his name out as bait...

Sydney have dropped out of the race for Lovett, but are now going at Green (Melbourne). I hope we get him as he is a quality player.

Thomson has all but decided to go to Richmond, with the Tigers opting to give up pick 42 (3rd round) to Port.

Good deal for Richmond if it goes ahead.

Well I think the list we have at Richmond is one hopefully that will see sustained success, at least maybe a few years in the finals.

But yes back on topic welcome Adam Thompson.

After shopping McIntosh around while he is overseas, NM have now issued a media release saying he is off the table because it was apparent they weren't going to get value for him, or words to that effect.

How would he now be feeling toward the club that signed him to a 3 year contract? Were they just trying to send a message to their playing group to lift in finals? I know that's the nature of trade week but I reckon that's rough.

Good point. Maybe he needed a kick up the backside and this was it? If not, fairly ordinary IMO.

I still can't see the relevance of where Port finish compared to where Richmond finish has on Thomson :? It's not like either side is any good. He could stay at Port and be a fringe player at a rubbish side or he could move to Richmond and be a fringe player at a rubbish side.
