i'd also just once like the crows to lose a game and them say yes we were beaten by a better team end of story but no its always umpires, injurys, the weather blah blah blah every time they lose its some1 else's fault or there is a reason they lost and the reason is never cause they just wernt good enough.

Carey at this stage they were not good enough. St.Kilda has a better structure at the moment in my opinion. If King can stay fit and there on ballers dont break down I can see the saints having a good year. With king in ruck they look good. As it frees up the accident prone Kosi to move forward - and if he dosent get KO then they will be good.

What?! For criticising your precious football club and its fans?. :-({|=
Wonder what you'd think of him if he molested kids or killed someone. :-s

im not an idiot and actually believe 'he is the worst human being in this country' He is just a plain and simple TOOL, no more no less. Geez mate, if you can't see where I was coming from watch a tape of last nigths match. I reckon all footy supporters would dislike this tool.

As for saying he was right by saying Crows wont kick winning scores all season, only time will tell on that one. I actually think crows try to play on and attack at all costs this season. They have nothing to loose..

You are an idiot.

Crows might want to stop flooding everyweek. Or are the crows fans still in denial over this tactic week in week out ???

Dont seem to like crows fans do we?

Anyway as for Walls well sometimes he is right and has valid points, but on the other side of the coin he blurts out crap simply to provide with some controversal jounro crap. So It is hard to listen to him when he makes a valid point as he mostly just bullshits. But thats him and most people around the country take him with a pinch of salt.

21 on 18 = end result (saints win). What in the hell was up with the reversal of Adelaide's supergoal in the 4th qtr :? :? . Adelaide player outside 50m arc was cleaned up after disposal free kick was payed to tippett down the ground correctly awarded supergoal to level scores and then reversed :? :? . What a joke. That was just 1 example of the s#@^ standard of umpiring. Don't know why I ecpected anything different afterall the Saints had been receiving an armchair ride by the green m#@^*#s all cup.

Some very promising signs though for the season ahead. Could very well be a good season. I'm tipping top 8 and improvement of about 2 wins on last years minor round form.

Your the idiot Jar head. trying to creat contoversy. there is no chips on the shoulder , yes we were beaten but who cares - i certainly don't. your generalisations are so common and boring, state some original thoughts.

and for the record I believe flooding (or sending numbers back) is a part of every AFL teams tactics, your naive if you don't think this is the case. I question people on this forum or go out of their way to make up negatibe Bull sh**it about the crows and crows supporters. yes, we have some fickle supporters, but every team does. people forget this.

the crows are rebuilding and will have their ups and downs this year, when a team is in this position I believe they have nothing to Lose. simple as that.

and for the record - I don't like Walls, his voice irritates me, but I gues everyone already know's that.

I see your point- not enough things in the Crows favour for them to win.
Home ground advantage obviously didn't work, hmmm, what to do...
Got it!
In future, Corporate Stadium staff at West Lakes should lock the opposing side in the changeroooms, so the Crows build a match-winning lead- theatre goers should be happy with this staged production.
Unfortunatley though, this scenario will rely on the Crows kicking goals.

SURPRISE SURPRISE never heard a crows fan claim that before. its not the crows that floods it is everybody else that does it hahaha!!! Pathetic. Note my quote was they are the only team to flood week in and week out and have ever since Niel Criag has coached.

It might be the reason crows game end up being so boring.

rebuilding for what??? . Neil Craig himself has stated that "windows of oppurtunities" are myths. so what are you rebuilding for .

the 3 lowest attended Pre-Season cup games were all played in Adelaide.

As for his comments about the Crows- I think he should be judged at season's end.
I can just imagine tingle fans lining up on here to apologise....

Again, how is Robert Walls wrong?

1. I'm too pissed to argue at present. Give me 15 hours to gather my thoughts.
2. Cow fans will never apologise because 60 year old women are never wrong.
3. Please get me the stats on the number of AFL 'free' tickets that are handed out to the preseason cup matches played in Vic, as I believe that there are a shed load given out in Vic and no more than a regular premiership match handed out in our great state.

Finally, bring back Wayne Jackson. Adrian Anderson is as effective as Captain Cook in Hawaii. Anyone want a leg?

Punky per head of population, those Melbourne pre-season GF attendances are worse than Adelaide's

Apart from the fact that it was 40 degrees and the other major impact is that SANFL members had to pay to go whereas MCG and TD (I think) members would have got in for free

Robert Walls is not attacking just Crows supporters BTW. He is having a go at all SA football fans because he says the same things about crowds for Port Power. In fact, he is a broken record that South Australians do not go to the games in the numbers he thinks we should.

As for the assumption that the crowd would have been much bigger in Melbourne, well I think that's debatable. I actually think REB is OTM and that the crowds are reflecting the attitude most supporters have towards the NAB Cup and that interest level is dropping each year.

I had about zero sad factor when the siren went last night and then   when the Saints players went up one by one to get a medal. I would have also  if the Crows went up one by one. It's a contrived 'grand final' based on which teams decide they want to have a crack in February and which don't. Most supporters see that .... so the grand final becomes just another trial game to go to, this time in 40 degree heat.

Besides, Crows fans can't win. In the lead up matches we are told not to read anything into the games because its ONLY pre-season and who cares about the results, etc, etc. Then when this 'grand final' rocks up we are suddenly expected to get super-hyped up and passionate about it and sell out AAMI Stadium :?

Crows hosted the final because they kicked the most goals in the comp yet they are still defensive? Obviously you weren't at the game because St Kilda flooded big time in that last term yet you don't mention that...

It was a close game and it was pre-season. Let's see what happens at their first meeting in the season proper.

I am a Crows supporter, and I am not fond of the flooding style. Most AFL teams resort to it sometimes, but I agree the Crows took it to an extreme in the last season or two when undermanned up forward, and to some extent in the midfield. They probably won more games than they would have done otherwise. It just didn't work well enough against teams well supplied with skilled fit players up forward, or midfielders that could counter the technique.

I expect they will resort to it less at the new young forwards and midfielders develop, but it will always be there when the opposition get a run on, and in that situation no team would refuse to use the it as a way to break the flow.
