A bit of a pointless comparision there. Not too many defenders win Brownlows and the AA team needs defenders.

Can't believe I haven't received the standard "Brownlow results leaked" emails yet. They were always good for a laugh.

Good call. I hope you had some coin on it. I thought Ablett would've polled more votes in his good games. Lots of twos and ones for Junior. Congrats Jimmy. Cripes, how shy is he?

Yes, I did manage a quiet wager REB - happy with the outcome. :D

But I am not claiming there is any science to it, far from it. It is luck of the draw to an extent, Gazza would have to consider himself unlucky not to have a couple of his 1s or 2s traded for Jimmy's 3's.

Mrs smac was gushing over him by the end of his speach, apparently she likes the shy ones.

Back on topic - and what a great winner.

He was so stuck for words when they interview him during the night. It was nice to see.

Questions from the night:

Did anyone see Dean Cox's face when Josh Carr got three votes after the derby contest?

Did Chris Judd want Rebecca to shut up when she said "there's so much more to do in Melbourne"?

Is it just me, or did Gary Jnrs current haircut make him look like Greg Domasiewicz, suspected killer of Jayden Leskie?

Who out of the quartet of departing stars that were highlighted last night will you miss most? For me it's Hird. Definitely my favourite genius, not James Joyce.

How happy are we all that a Cornes didn't win? Love to hate 'em.

Had to laugh when Cox shook his head with a bit of a smirk when Josh Carr got 3 votes in the derby.

Haha yes Judd wanted her to shut up.

Gazza clearly has inherited his old mans hair genes thats for sure but his date (and Girlfriend) is gorgeous isnt she.

Def Hird for me, i love him, Classy in everything he does on and off the field and will be sorely missed for sure. His on field magic will be something not only Essendon supporters miss but just fans in general.

Coxy's face - classic. Talk about cross town rivalry!

Rebecca Twigley - very hot, as long as she doesn't talk.

God Jnr - gun, but looks slightly to girlish, even to be able to kill a little kid.

I'd also miss Hirdy the most, ever since Kouta did his knee he just wasn't the same footballer. Was disappointed they didn't show more of Hirds courageous back with the flight marks. I'll buy the DVD.

C. Cornes - had money on him, disappointed!!

Sheedy's daughter - It's just Kevin Sheedy....with tits!!!
1. M Hayden.

Huh - they're more likely to go in and plunder like the savages they are!

All this coming from a Collingwood and Centrals supporter too!
