Remembering back to the start weren't Essendon players saying in the media that they signed forms and were under the impression it was vitamins and supliments?

Mark Neeld signed as a development coach, replacing James Byrne

The players have not responded to Show Cause notices, is this correct?

I would expect things to start rolling along now then, is this right @Jim05?

Would think so but doesnt appear to be the case. The AFL and AFLPA have requested that ASADA get started now and hopefully sit for a hearing in a few weeks but McDevitt has stated he will not be bullied by these groups and it may be December or January before things proceed

First you snare the much wanted James Gwilt, now you land another big fish in Neeld.
The icing would be to lure Petrenko or Brock McLean to bombre land.

Dont mind the appointment of Neeld. By all reports he is excellant just not as the main man. The Collingwood players raved about him and Pendlebury even credited him for a fair bit of their success in 2010.
So going by your theory Voss is a dud?
Plenty of coaches are brilliant assistants but shouldnt go higher

Agree there Jim. Neeld was a very highly respected assistant coach. No reason he can't add the same value again.

Great its exactly what needed, more delays because ASADA are a typical government agency.

The other thing is he isnt an assistant coach.
His role is with player development, would look after the new draftees and help with the VFL side, dont think his role has much to do with the match day stuff. His knowledge is pretty valuable IMO

Do you blame them? ALFPA and Essendon have done nothing but try to stop this entire process. Now that they know they can't stop it any further they want ASADA to magically have this process over within a week. What Essendon and ALFPA have to realise is this could already be over with if they hadn't stuffed around.

Not entirely true.
ASADA has claimed to have had this evidence for over 14 months, long before Hird started his actions. ASADA have admitted to their failings several times during the course and it seems to be Andruska's incompetency that held things up. Seems a lot more efficiently run since McDevitt replaced her

Can they afford Bomber to stay on? I dont fully understand the cap or tax now to do with football department spending but you would think Hird, Harvey, Neald + other assistants etc would put them in the upper bracket of football department spending

Not sure he will stay, he definately turned down the Suns job as his wife didnt want to move and he already is financially well off.
He is refusing to pay his $30k fine so the AFL wont allow him to hold any position until thats paid. He would like to stay on at Essendon but only in a hands on role probably part time, doesnt want a gimmick role like an Ambassador or similar

Seems like Chapman might be shown the door just so they can get Cooney. LMAO.

Could see him in a media role.

Yes I read this. Would have thought they could combine the two to make one fit player.

Chappy wants to play the full season and not be rested as much as last year. Thinks he is capable of 18 games atleast.
Hope we can find a way to keep him

Not sure how the tax works but Lloyd has just signed on as a part time assistant, will mentor Joey and do some goal kicking work with the forwards. Great that he has come back in some role.
