With Trengrove down, wonder if Port should try either Stewart or Butcher down back. They seem to be one tall short down the back end

Butcher kicks like a backman so it wouldn't hurt... ;)

I said that to people I sit/stand with on Saturday.

Send Butcher loose in defence to see if he could get a kick. Certainly would have had more opportunites down that end.

We are missing Trengove badly so trying Butcher down there on Saturday when the game was lost would have been the perfect time. Tommy Jonas tries his heart out but is undersized and it seems Hombsch may be a little small to be a KPP also.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

The unfortunate thing is our recruiting was ok but not elite. Monfries is a good average player but the others are not quite good enough and you can see why they were let go by Sydney and GWS. Homsch is not up to it as he too really struggles at Sturt. I can honestly say at the moment we have one really good player in boaky, winged and gray are b graders and will be a. Graders and the rest are c and d graders at this point. I can only see 3 more wins at best this year but at least ken has them trying things. Be patient it will be 4 years till fruit is picked from the tree.

I think we will. We've just come off Richmond,Carlton, North Melbourne and Geelong. They are all better than Port and much, much better than the Bulldogs.

Port like Darwin and we'll have TSG there "rooting" for us on the sidelines. ;)

Yes, I will. Hoping for a better quality game this week.

You may be right but I still think they'll finish higher than your mob.

Still think so? Probably not your best call.

I have to admit I was torn going into this game but after seeing that you can only admire what hinkley has done at port. Better still it brought about the demise of collingwood. Eddie looked like he was going to explode at the end of the game.

Don't care punk. Hope we lose. Just happy that Eddie and bucks can be as disillusioned as I am.

Pies looked the goods in the second and third quarters and early in the last.

Looked like they were gonna kick away.

But Port hung in there... and then went BANG!!!

Gutsy win. Great win.
