Yes you can. It just means you give them less money.

The AFL went mind doing this as there are plenty you other financial basket cases on the AFL to look after.

Although Port will just make Kenny the fall guy and then he has to go lol

My memory is horrible but is the second time Port is being 'investigated' or involved in a controversial 'concussion call'.

It could happen to anyone but the footage of Allir completely missing a spoil less than 5 minutes after the head knock isn't a great look.

Was a lucky coincidence Jones got a migraine and suffered no concussion after that head knock so he can play this week.
Feel for the poor bugger though as I used to suffer terribly from migraines and you never know when they're going to hit.

Yeah and nah.....the AFL are obviously going to question a seasoned medical professional and have done so before when they fined Port previously.

99.9% do the right thing no doubt but it's not like there has never been a seasoned medical professional found to be involved in misconduct or make a mistake for one reason or another.

Interesting comments today that the AFL overruled AFC with Chelsea Randall and banned her playing the grand final from video footage after she was cleared of concussion by Adelaide. Precedent set, do AFL force Port to omit Aliir and Jones this week?

Crazy that with concussion the biggest issue/risk facing the game in the modern era that there isn't independent doctors at every game. And this is in no way saying the Port Doctor did the wrong thing, it sounds like Allir passed all the tests during the game as well as post game. Just take these decisions away from the clubs so there is no conflict.

I just assumed there were independent doctors there.
Ridiculous if there isn’t.

Yep should independent doctors.

The independent doctor should also only have contact with the (team manager) who then relays the diagnosis the coaching team. Not sure what happens at present but no need for the doctor to be talking to coaches in regard to concussion.

There are big questions being asked of the Port decision by the AFL via their medical experts

Do either player in any way try to break or control their fall? We’re they motionless for a period of time (not always the best indicator but one them).

The video evidence is the first call to trigger the progression to the SCAT.

Yes the HIA was done but that is only the first step of the concussion pathway protocol.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

That seems to be the 'please explain' doesn't it? Why wasn't the Scat5 concussion test called for.
