26,000 last night, deserved more.

Primus struggled as a coach but I think he developed a good list while he was there. Hinkley, Koch and most importantly Burgess are icing on the cake but the seeds were sown few years back..

Ps Wingard is quickly becoming my favourite player, what a gun!

Can see why Wingard was a top 10 pick that came with very good credentials from the U18 national champioships.

Smooth moving, tough tackling highly skilled young lad. He and Wines are two absolute champions in the making. Two weeks in a row now Wingard has slotted a left foot goal (from the preferred side of a left footer) with consumate ease.

You are giving Primus way too much credit.

Ni. I tend to agree with PG in that Primus did give young blokes game time. He wasn't an astute tactician and clearly not tough enough with them, but remember how Chad Cornes couldn't get game time? Primus gave fellas like Broadbent, Pittard, and O'Shea opportunities when they weren't really ready. That probably makes them better players now. But from the moment Hinkley took over, the entire football department has been re-born, re-energised and immediate improvements have come. Great appointment by PAFC. :D

The Geelong football factory continues to churn out quality success stories..

For me the biggest tick for Pt Adel was the appointment of David Koch, finally a presence in the media and Eastern states with also a sound finanical and business understanding, and is already having an impact.

I spoke to REB about this a few weeks ago. Geelong have churned out some senior coaches from the Bomber Thompson era. Sanderson, Hinkley and McCartney all with senior gigs.

Similar to the Mark Williams stable of previous years that included Bailey, Hardwick, Clarkson and Primus.

They all have one under lying factor. Kevin Sheedy. Mark Williams and Mark Thompson were both heavily influenced by Sheeds and so it seems have their assistants in turn.

Sheedy, still having an impact upon the whole competition.

Interesting that you attribute Sheedy to that, especially given how much the game has changed and evolved over the years, but it does make sense.

In a similar way Leigh Mathews now has the Scott brothers and Voss as senior coaches.

Paul Roos has had Ross Lyon and John Longmire under him.

Mick Malthouse has had Buckley, Worsfold, Watters and McKenna under his guidance.

Makes you wonder who the **** the Mark Neeld bloke is!!!

The bloke is a gun! Such silk and ease that he makes things look! That goal deep in the 3rd from the boundary turned the game.

I know that, you twit!

For those that have seen the goals (against Gold Coast and West Coast) it has been the ease that he has kicked very difficult goals with that I was referring to. Even though, as I mentioned, it is his preferred side!!!! ;)

Was just thinking who comes in.

Moore could come in and play a role down there, not as a tall but he is in good nick.Clurey or Homsch I guess.

If Pittard does come up for this week which is unlikely, will he come in for Trengove and you manage with that?

North have a tall forward line so a key back is probably needed i would have thought

Pittard cant replace Trengove for the reasons you mentioned.

Hombsch would be my guess. He loses 4cm and 7kgs on Trengove but is quite athletic. Cant see us selecting Clurey given he is adjusting to the fullback role at Glenelg, not to mention he is a project player (come to think of it they both are really!!)

Daw and Petrie will stretch us for height which might see Renouf sit behind the play.
