Game over, and excluding the draw, it's 6 out of 8 for me.

If we win next week round 22 2007 could be shades of round 22 1993

Need to beat Collingwood to make the finals

That's assuming the Saints don't beat West Coast next week - St Kilda have Richmond in round 22 - go the Eagles!

the Sydney v Collingwood game is also crucial

if collingwood lose next week and lose to the crows, the crows will replace the Pies no matter what the Saints do.

if sydney lose to the Pies, then lose to the Hawks in the last round, then the crows can replace the swans, that's if we win our last two.

if the saints lose to the eagles, then destiny is definitely in the crows hands, looks like the saints will lose Harvey, Houghton and Baker for the match

if the Kanga's lose their last two games, they can still miss the 8 as well, this is unlikely as they play Carlton and WB

so it's not just the saints in danger

the pies and swans game is huge

go swans and the eagles

good win by the crows

special mentions to

Welsh - his best game in 2-3 seasons
Gill - I believe he can be a very good player at HF playing as a third tall, another pre-season may see the making of him as a player
Knights - 28 touches, still needs some polish
Radar - was his best game for the year, hgighest possession player for the match, 10 inside 50's, very damaging
Van Berlo - very strong in the air tonight, is starting to free himself up as an attacking midfielder
Shirley - best game for the season, has me now thinking, if he actually does have the capability to develop a more attacking game
Massie - outstanding on Johnson
Proplyzia - becoming a very smart player across HF, ideal replacement for Bode
Macca - was his brillant best again

Quiet players

I thought some of our senior players were quiet tonight, Edwards wasted the ball, Goody was well held, Burton wasted opportunities and he was not as clean with his hands, in addition I thought Mattner's night was not his best

VB and Reilly were our best midfielders tonight. Both were brilliant.

probably get one more game in the 2s, then he'll be promoted to wreck havoc on Sturt again....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dutchy

I don't think so, Douglas would of had close to 15 touches, as usual was pretty clean, defensively he was good, applied a lot of tackles, couple of crucial tackles to hold upo WB from breaking away

If Roo is fit, it may come down to Douglas or Mattner, on tonights performance, Douglas should stay in the side

If Roo is not fit, I would go in with an unchanged side

Mattner was better than Douglas.

Perhaps being committed to a defending/tagger role for so long has inhibited his opportunity to play to his potential. I have occasionally wondered about him and Doughty being given a shot at an attacking role. Doughty is a good mark for his size and may be a forward pocket option.

Good question - perhaps it was to prove to him that he should be patient and spend the time to develop, rather than seek a trade, because he isn't ready to ruck in any AFL team yet!
