"We've said, and I've heard the chairman say, there's no secret agenda to get the Kangaroos to go to the Gold Coast," Demetriou said.

Cool, can they try and dish up some decent football rather than the tripe they've showed us the past few years?

2 flags in 10 years not good enough for you?

4 flags in 82 years - what shinboner spirit????

less than 20000 members ATM - very low in this day and age

current playing/game tactics - pathetic, tripe, crap

1 of 3 VFL teams that need to piss off somewhere else or fold.........waste of space

A tenth of carltons supporter base would still be bigger than North Melbourne's.

I support Sturt 1st and foremost, because I really am getting a bigger hatred of the AFL more year by year, but in the AFL/VFL I have supported Carlton since 1980.

More disturbing than the off field stuff is the playing list. Losing Thompson was a big blow, but it's hard to see where the wins are going to come from. :(

cmon Carey, how many supporters are still alive that had a choice of clubs between the 1800's and 1925?

North have had many years opportunity to build a supporter base.

It only took Hawthorn 10 years and theirs tripled.

Simple solution, just chuck out ever team in the bottom 8 of the AFL currently as all those teams are a waste of space with the amount of time they've had to get their shit together.
Even I might start watching it then!

1 West Coast Eagles
2 Geelong
3 Brisbane
4 Sydney
5 Adelaide
6 St Kilda
7 Essendon
8 Hawthorn
9 Collingwood
10 Port
11 Carlton
12 Westrern Bulldogs
13 Kangaroos
14 Fremantle
15 Richmond
16 Melbourne

Dutchy, how many supporters do you think you are going to recruit with your current game plan of the past 2-3 years?

well in 2005 we finished 5th, so game plan must have been OK, last year it was ordinary but so was the Crows and they finished top, they just could execute it better....you obviously havent seen any of us this year as the game plan is an attacking one

You know full well sturt nearly died 10 years ago, and to answer your question I would be just as defensive as yourself.

My passion is more for SANFL, I wouldn't want ANY SANFL club to fold or relocate.
The fact is Kangaroos or whatever they want to be called have a low supporter base, poor history of results and a playing style that would make going to watch a hot fart reach the clouds exciting.

The SANFL to me is totally different, I just don't like the fact that a lot of the VIC clubs were insolvent 25 years ago and they couldn't give a f**k if Sturt, Port Glenelg or whoever folded as long as they got their talent and a NorthMelb fan told me so when I was in VIC 9 years ago.

FWIW, I am 100% behind the punishments that carlton got a few years ago for breaking the rules.
Since that time my pleasure in watching AFL has diminished BIG TIME.
