Collingwood's refusal to wear alternative guernseys

what i love is that collingwood have taken the heat off the 1 team who have been telling the afl for longer they wouldn't have an alternative strip and thats my team the bombers and when we were told that we had to submit another top this is what we submited.

Interesting to see Essendon wearing this jumper today with red shorts against the Saints...looks OK...well done

You think that looked good? I had to have a chuckle that they came up with that abomination of an outfit while trying to alter their guernsey as little as possible. They looked ridiculous.

Back on the Collingwood issue ... I am sure the AFL would accept a white guernsey, black trim around the neck and arms, the traditional magpie emblem on the front, black numbers and white shorts...

Sounds like a guernsey they wore a few years ago.

Except they had the club logo in the middle of the three stripes.

Agreed. They say they will never change their guernsey but they have. The current one looks ordinary whereas the proper one you refer to looks a whole lot better.

Central Districts..didn't get serious until they ditched that horrible white jumper they used to wear.
Fremantle Dorkers...say no more. An Anchor an appropriate symbol.
Western Bulldogs..Cat fans love the Dogs as they have an even longer drought that us. They almost made Richmond look good on Friday.
Kangaroos..a feared combination that turned up at Cat Park (a happy hunting ground for the Roos) one day in white and went home 14 goal losers....strip changed!

Whoever brought up grand finals brought up a good point....

What happens when two teams whose guernseys 'clash' make the grand final?

I can't see the 'away' team wanting to wear its clash guernsey on the biggest day of the football year, in front of the biggest audience (live and tv) of the season.....will be very interesting what happens.
