Been at Norwood the past 3 years, had played 51 games, kicked 35 goals. A ball magnet midfielder with tons of courage. Only thing that lets him down a little is his kicking for goal and an extra 5-10 metres on the kick would be handy. However, I've seen a lot worse than Bryce play AFL footy. Good pick up. 181cm, 79kg.

As I eluded to on the SANFL forum its actually the ideal result for North. It now means we can afford Livingstone with the space Gill frees up.
At the very least Livingstone will take Gill's spot, at the very best both of them will be playing for North.
It couldn't have been better.

Correct me if I'm wrong doesn't the league allocate $350 for each game an AFL listed player plays league footy against the salary cap? In other words the player isn't a freebie some coin goes agaisnt the clubs salary cap allocation for that particular game. In other words if Sellar plays all 20 games for Glenelg seniors next year that is going to cost us $7000 leaving us $333 000 to sepnd on the rest of our palyers.

Obviously having Gill listed for Adelaide could save North $700 game assuming he was getting a tonne a game last year.....BPBRB or Wedgie can confirm what he was on, I'm merely assuming someone like him would get $1K/game.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

pretty much as predicted in regards to who would be picked up from SA

notable non selections include Skipworth, he may be selected in the pre-season draft and Hier, Jacobs from WWT, Hughues from Norwood and Millar from NA, hopefully these boys may get selected in the rookie draft

One other interesting point, I believe 14 players were selected from QLD, which is 2 more then SA,

WA also had more selections then SA, it makes me question our u/17 and u/19 system

I always thought the AFL club paid the wages of their player and the SANFL club paid nothing. However, I never knew that to be fact, it never really interested me all that much.

Yes, that is bad news for the Legs, I know they were targeting him as a recruit this season. Don't know if other clubs were talking to him though.
