Brad Johnson 364 games, 3x B&F, 6 time all Australian. Would have to give it to him I would think

Crows have had some decent small forwards over the years. Bond and Vardy were both plenty capable and perhaps career-wise didn't reach their potential, but were key contributors for a couple of successful seasons. Porplyzia was a gun for a few years there and there can be no denying how decent Betts is.

Breust, Rioli and Puopolo all in the same side would have to be close to the best "small" combination we've seen, although GWS have a few handy ones too.

They are all slightly different players too. Impossible to stop them all.

If making you sub 190cm (even sub 185) gets you on that list then the best is easy. The bloke is the best footballer I have ever seen!

I am not so sure about that call.... I make not secret, I am no fan of the way he plays. Having said that, some of his play on Saturday night (viewed in the pub, 3 sheets to the wind..) was pretty damn good. The play where he went to ground, bounced up & out-marked 2 defenders, was memorable.

Does Darren Jarman come into calculations at all. Essentially a mid-fielder, but ended up as a one out forward. On his day, un-beatable. Consistency was always fuds problem. When he was good, he was phenominal.

North Melbournes Krakour boys were a great combination too

He is probably the most exciting crows player since Modra. And there is probably no other player in the AFL right now that has a whole stadium chanting his name regularly.

Darren Jarman was awesome back in the day too obviously.

Btw my point above was about Ablett Snr- he is the best footballer I have ever seen and is 185. Needs to be sub 182 in my books

Dunstall still played as a key forward even though he was shorter. Dermy was only 186 too, but clearly played as a key forward.

Ablett is debatable i guess. He kinda just did what he wanted, yeah? More of a roaming forward than a crumber although he was still awesome at that too.

But yeah obviously if we include him its no contest

Daicos retired in 93, Matthews 85. Hence why Daicos would make it

My original thought was to try and find the most prolific traditional crumbing forward, so yeah, a lot of those guys 15 years ago could play as a key forward and still be sub 190.
