So you're on the Hawks wagon then Pysber?
This is very much a us vs the rest G/F.
Actually as a child I was a nominal Hawks supporter when asked by those with an interest in the VFL, but I wasn't really all that interested in the VFL.

I haven't been reading the Melbourne media recently, but they usually push a Melbourne team - any Melbourne team - over any "outsider".
And even Geelong get to be treated as an "outsider" when there is a strong looking insider team around.
(Admittedly the Melbourne media do seem to prefer St Kilda, Carlton, or the Bulldogs to Hawthorn if they are a even remote chance.)
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

Freo the walking wounded, having to manage to many players.

Hawks alot more big game experience, experience at the MCG

Would love to see Freo win but imho to many things are going against them.

Rioli? Franklin?

There coming back from injury, i would put money on it there in better condition than the Freo players who are carrying injuries and wouldn't be playing if it was the minor round

Where in Adelaide's CBD or North Adelaide is a good place to watch the GF?

The Caledonian hotel on O'Connell is an awesome place to watch the granny. Lots of nice scenery if the footy gets boring

SEN just said that Clarkson approached the Hawks a few weeks ago for a 2 year extension and they knocked it back.
Probably just waiting until end of the season.

Job security means a lot these days.
If West Coast put a 4-5 year deal on the table he would me mad not to atleast consider it

One for the statsmen (if anybody believes in omens)..

First GF to contain a set of brothers playing against each other occured in 1912, and Steven and Bradley Hill will become just the 2nd set to achieve this "feat", and if omens are anything to go by, Fremantle and Steven Hill will win their first premiership.

In the 1912 GF, the belcher siblings faced off in the Essendon / South Melbourne clash, with Essendon finishing 3rd and South finishing minor premier. Allan Belcher (Essendon) was the older of the 2 and went on to help Essendon win the premiership.

what a joke.

the stat about the last 5 times the top defensive team has played the top attacking team the defensive team has won is a far better stat than a once off that happened 100 years ago.

Take it for what it is at the end of the day, irrelevant.

I still think its pretty cool that almost 100 years to the day, 2 sets of brothers will play against each other in a GF, with identical ladder positions proportional to the elder / youngest sibling.

Stat or not I still think Freo will win.
