I'm hoping that this project will force the improvement of the public transport system. It's going to be needed.

Imagine the bloods having a finals under lights at richmond? or the bays having a final down at Gliderol? Amazing atmospheres would come of it, and help bring SANFL back into the picture even more

I get howled down for voting no to this projectAny cost blowout is going to result in corner cutting and another typical Adelaide half-arsed job

Spoke to a mate of mine who voted no and attended the meeting, It was astounding how many times the pro Yes Speakers were banging on about the footbridge. You don't get that in your 500 million FFS!

SKYCITY Entertainment Group is seeking tax cuts as a condition of its $250 million expansion of the Adelaide Casino including a footbridge across the Torrens to link with the Adelaide Oval redevelopment.
“We are happy to be involved and more than happy to pay for a bridge that links the Oval with this side of the River Torrens – especially if it brings 50,000 patrons past our door.”

This is an example of the spin off's throughout Adelaide due to the oval re-development. Exciting times.
Imagine, the new bars of the casino overlooking the torrens and AO, as the crowds swarm in over the bridge after a friday or saturday night game. Will be awesome, it WILL change the whole dynamics of the city. Why wouldn't Sky city throw money at this, they are in a perfect position geographically and economically.

If we can get to anything like the Crown it will be AMAZING. Looking forward to sitting back, having a beer after a footy game overlooking the torrens
