Not going to be drawn into a slanging match, so all I will say is
Yes it was controversial, But Stokes's free kick was not there
and the holding the ball decision against McEvoy was farcical.
So thats TWO decisions that went the Cats way inside their 50 in the last 1/4.
Oh, and one more thing, GO YOU SAINTERS!

A few of the more 'maligned' saints were good tonight. Milne superb in the first half before dropping out of it. Peake was very good I thought. He wouldn't have played in too many games like that before.

Geelong v Hawthorn next week would be a cracker if it turns out that way.

Maybe just the thing the cats needed. A nice little wake up call I reckon. Pies supporters may be a little bit shaky. Especially if we play them in the Prelim Final. Well done to the Sa=ints. They deserve another crack at a GF after last year. We're not done with yet.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Well... I thought their victory was a given...

Also thought Geelong was a sure thing...

LMAO - "You realise you just lost us the game, dont you? you realise you just lost us the game, dont you?" - No Cam, you blokes didn't win for many factors, not just because of what was always a free kick late in the game that you gave away.Free kick every day of the week that one.

St.Kilda's early domination around the stoppages gained them an early lead, Geelongs last quarter domination with a severe lack of return for effort were the two deciding factors IMO. Stokes miss with 7 or 8 minutes to go was more deflating for Geelong in the end I think and gave the St's reason to beileve they could hold on.

Carn the Hawks. ;)

if that was the gang-tackle, then I agree- I could not see how that was holding the ball, & I was willing the Cats to win...

Damn! I was looking forward to a Geelong - Collingwood GF but will have to settle for a Geelong - Swans affair instead!

Saints won their "GF" last night and Collingwood, as will all teams, will be scared to face a hurt, pi$$ed off bunch of Cats!!

Just means we have 3 wins left instead of 2!

The ramifications of THAT decision

Would have been lauded one of the great finals comebacks of all time
SK might have been branded finals chokers
MR 66 and Punk Rooster would have been unbearable ...

Clear push in the back !!!! You see those paid all the time.
And what about the ARROGANCE of the comments to the umpire ---- "you've cost us the game. do you understand that --- you've cost us the game".
No mate, YOU cost your side the game !!
If I were the ump I'd be telling him "You're off the ground --- DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT" ---- while the play was being marched fifty yards down the field.

As clear as the one Henderson got at AAMI a few weeks back!
Doesn't matter now, we were crap in the first half and should of taken our chances in the last!
Not the end of the season, might be what we needed in a strange way.
