If St Kilda can't beat Port doing this then how the hell can Adelaide expect to?

After much deliberation I have decided to tip the Crows this weekend. I reckon they showed some good signs last week and will run all over a tired Port Adelaide.

Nah, they'll just be making a good platform for a few big pack marks from the big Tip. ;)

I reckon he'll bag at least 5 Saturday. Yep, I called it. You heard it here first.

Yep, he is soooo hard. Would it be asking too much for him to get a touch instead of running around acting like the 'hard' man. A good ordinary player.

It's time to replace Burton & Doughty with kids, they wont be there next year so it must happen now!
Port wanted to win much more than Adelaide, come up with any excuse you like, but their attack on the footy & player in the last quarter told the story.

BURTON - you're killing me. Turned the tide in the last qtr with poor decision making and execution. Personally repsonsible for two of Ports first 3 goals in the last qtr. Clanger King. If he plays next week the selection comittee needs to be replaced.

Positives (always good to finish on a positive note) - Porps, Davis, Petrenko (finally found some form), Rutten (destroyed Tredrea - as usual) and Douglas. I think the team is finding some fitness and form and a win is not far away.

Despite the final scoreline this was our best perfomance so far this season. For three quarters, we played some good football, Tippet and Porplyzia starting to get back into some good form with 7 goals between them. On several occasions in the first half we were a couple of goals down, yet we dug deep and fought back into the lead.

Then there was the final quarter. It started well for the first 30 seconds. Then Burton decided to be a hero in our forward pocket and keep a ball in play instead of letting it go out of bounds then not continue to chase after the ball, resulting in a Port goal. For some reason, from there the side rolled over and let Port run riot. The complete lack of effort and desire to win in the last quarter was very disappointing. Burton helping Port to two goals the lowlight of the last quarter.

I attended my first Showdown yesterday and have to say it will be my last. The constant abuse from Port supporters towards us was ridiculous.

If my mate and I cheered for the Crows, we got abused and yelled at by the surrounding Port ferals everytime...at one point Tippett was going for the ball so I yelled "GO TIPS" as you do...and I had half a dozen ferals stand up, get in my face screaming "OOOHHHHHHH GO TIIIIIPS".

I have to say I am not surprised now that these Showdowns get f$%k all people there.

Could be worse, could have been 12:40pm Sunday like the Crows copped last year (31K turned up for that one). Still, with the timeslot and form, I'd expect a crowd in the low 30K's
