Im not saying it's true by any means, just funny because during NC's time there have been many occasions where it's "seemed" like he had 13 or 14 teammates back there, such was there style.

I still reckon he is a long way behind Scarlett, and even Glass. He is vulnerable one-on-one at times.

Still a great player though.

I rate Rutten behind Merrett, O'Hailpin, Hudghton, Glass, Wakelin, Michael, Scarlett and a host of others.

Yeah, i agree he is very strong - i didnt word my comment the best. Vulnerable on a quick, leading player for sure though, ie Fev, Franklin.

Merrett !!! O'Hailpin !!! Wakelin !!! Hudgton !!! WTF !!! Hudgton is brave, but has many short-comings.

Rutten is behind Mal Michael at his best though. Better than him now though, by a fair way.

OFF TOPIC...SORRY !!

But, Like the young kid, shows plenty of guts and poise and looks like he will have a long career at the Blues...

Kicked a beauty last week !! Has missed a couple of game, but looks like he has cemented his spot for another few weeks at least, as he had a good game last week...

A lot of positives posted about him on Talking Carlton....thanks Mumbles !!

His footy ability was never questioned at AFC. Unfortunately, his ability to act responsible and follow team rules/guidelines was. Hopefully he has this side of things sorted out, and does have a long career.

Pfeiffer's erratic delivery to people not in a position to receive has also been commented on over here. He'll have to do better there too. If he sorts both those issues out he could prove a worthwhile acquisition. I assume the Crows doubted he would. They were factors limiting his usefulness at Norwood too.

Most people wouldn't even be aware what those issues were ... Moving to Melbourne where they have to scrutinise 10 teams instead of just 2 is probably the best thing he could have done, rather than live in a fishbowl where the Tiser would happily report on what time the 43rd player on the list took a dump.

Im sure the media over there have no interest in the lad unless he's urinating on restaurants with Fev - The type of behavioural issues he didn't even have over here.

Unfortunately for Darren, the AFC were aware and thats all that matters. You are right, most people werent aware of any issues, including The Tiser. I agree, moving to Melbourne was the best result, for all involved.

Anyway, we are covering old ground i reckon, and are off-topic...

Lets get back to it...Over-rated - Lance Franklin

LOL Yeah sorry lads.

OK, I'm gonna list some players I don't see enough of, to get opinions from others:

Eddie Betts - Seems as though performances fluctuate markedly? Overrated?

Harry O'Brien - I thought ordinary when first came on seen and despite being ungainly at times, has been excellent most times I've seen him this year - Underrated?

Nathan Bassett - Experienced and has ability to read play, but requires a certain game style to succeed and has always struggled one on one with bigger bodies - Harsh?

David Wocjinski (sp?) - Games I've seen of him this year and before his injury he's been very damaging (granted kicking improvement would cause further damage) - Underrated?

Paul Hasleby - Hasn't seemed to live up to the (unfair) hype he received initially, overrated?.

Brent Guerra - Has always been underrated for mine, even back when he was at Port.

Spider Everett - Think the big fella has been overrated for %90 of his career TBH - Good player don't get me wrong, but goes missing at some crucial times and is undisciplined again often at crucial times.

Eddie Betts, we rate him at Carlton, just landed a two year extension.

Not bad for a kid that was overlooked in the drafts, and only picked up in the pre-season draft 2004.

Would be one of our most consistent performers this year, and always seems to kick a goal
or two..

Probably the best kid that Dennis Pagan actually recruited
