Crows should win this week, however the week after (Geel or North) in Melbourne will most likely be bloody difficult...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

That would be news to the Hawks, it's fans, & the housing development there!

Geelong 7-3
WCE 6-3
Adelaide 6-4
Port 5-5
Collingwood 4-5
Hawks 4-5
Swans 3-7
Roos 3-7

On this basis you would think WCE are a huge show tomorrow night...

What about the stat that says Port have won 10 of their last 12 games against WC, with an average winning margin of 53 points? I think that stat is more significant than the one which bases how we will go against WC on how we went against geel, adel, coll, hawks, syd and the kangas

This includes 05 and 06...

Perhaps 6 of the first 12 we were a top side, but 2 games in 06,and two in 05 would not fall into the 'WCE ordinary' group?

Sorry........ forget about the $20 on the Cats. $20 will probably return about $24! Does anyone out there know odds head to head on these games. Just curious to who the punters are backing. ( Could read the gambling thread.......too lazy though!)

I think Geelong vs. Roos will be a close match and that the 4.00 on offer for either side by under 15.5 is good value. I reckon Cats by 11 points.

West Coast
Collingwood
Adelaide
Geelong

are my tips.

on the stats, finalists against fellow finalists this year - it woiuld suggest that the Roo's and Swans had pretty good draws for 2007

Geelong 7-3
WCE 6-3
Adelaide 6-4
Port 5-5
Collingwood 4-5
Hawks 4-5
Swans 3-7
Roos 3-7

Dutchy, are you concerned with the Roo's 3-7 record?

*Edit - Everyone else explained why so I might aswell

Port - Stars travelling in much better form and fitness than West Coast who will struggle to replace Kerr ... Second tier players playign with belief - should be too quick for Weagles who don't appear as lethal as the 05/06 model

Geelong - Can't go against them after the form they've shown this year ... Disrespect the Kangaroo's at your own peril, but I think the Cats have been champing at the bit to get into the Major Round stuff.

Sydney - Have been in ominous form the past two months and the "G" doesn't hold any fears for them ... The Pies are always a chance with their army of supporters and recent results indicate they have the Swannies measure, but they probably would have preferred to avoid a finals hardened Swans outfit who are the masters at stifling run and closing the play down.

Hawthorn - My wildcard for the Round .. If Adelaide can close them down they should win, however the young Hawks can be an explosive outfit and even though the loss of Chance Bateman (should he withdraw) would hurt, I still think they can win the clearances and have too many targets in front of goal for the Crows to silence.

WCE - Going to favour the experience here, Port have been in great form granted but this is finals, it will be a long day for some of their rookies who would have played the game over in their head 20 times before they get to AAMI...WCE havent been bad either, winning 6 of their last 7 and only losing 1 game away from Subi in the 2nd half of the year....Port have relied on a heavy attack all year however finals are different, this wont be a shootout, this will be tough and physical and Port will struggle with the intensity...

Sydney - Only lost 2 games in their last 9 and had to love the way they played last week, a real attacking style to compliment their usual hardness around the ball, Collingwood have limped into the finals with a 5-5 record in the last 10...Swans to be too good here

Adelaide - this could be a blowout but the way the Crows play probably not, Hawks are young and inexperienced and have only beaten 1 Top 8 side in their last 13 games...Crows for me

Geelong should win but pressure is a wonderful thing, strangely the Roos have the edge in finals experience....this could be a cracker, have to favour Geelong but........

WCE - I do not believe the Power have the game plan to stand up in finals footy, The return of Embly and Judd will lift the Eagles and big game finals experience will get the eagles home, another issue for the Power is the Lynch match up

Collingwood - This is my upset of the round, the Pies have a very good record against the Swans, the inclusions of Rusling, Didak and Fraser certainly gives the Pies some firepower up forward with Rocca and Thomas. A concern for the Swans is the return of Hall, Hall is not fit and the swans may become Hall focus, this may become easy to defend for the Pies

Adelaide - the Crows definitely have the edge in finals experience, while the Hawks have struggled against Adelaide's and Sydney's styles of football. I'm tipping the Crows; however the Hawks have a Huge X factor and unpredictability about their team

Geelong will win; the Roo's will put up a fantastic fight, but too much Class for the Roo's to counter
