Pick 28 and Kerridge?? The clean out is on. I reckon Menzel goes OK.

Wow. Carlton are f##ed.

Good trade by the Crows. Really have nothing to lose by trading Kerridge and pick 28 when you already have 9 and 13. Menzel has heaps of potential if he doesn't blow up, worth the risk.

Benefit of him at the Crows is he will start as the 5th/6th guarded forward behind Tex, Jenkins, Lynch, Eddie and Charlie,

Huge front load on the first year, base wage in the following years. Which we can fit in our 2016 cap. Not sure the Roos could.

Picks 26 and 28

28 they picked up from GWS as part of Treloar deal

Gives Brisbane 1406 points for their academy players, which is around pick 10

Can someone explain the academy points system thing.

It seems so complicated.

Could it not be simplified by making it like the Father/Son pick where other clubs nominate what pick they would take the player with.

Whilst he has chosen Collingwood as his choice of club, has Aish definitively stated he won't go to North?

It is similar. Each pick is given a point rating and if a club bids before you on that person you must match it with points. That way you can use 3 or 4 lower round picks to claim a top 10 pick

BRISBANE midfielder James Aish remains “100 per cent” committed to joining Collingwood, despite a lucrative late bid by North Melbourne.

Aish’s manager Liam Pickering said on Saturday he had informed the Kangaroos that his client would only entertain playing for the Magpies.

“He wants to go to Collingwood, that’s the story,” Pickering said. “We are dealing with Brisbane in trying to get him to Collingwood, and that’s where it is at the moment.”

“He’s 100 per cent wanting to going there. North Melbourne came up with a very good offer, but we’ve told them that James wants to play for Collingwood.”

The pick 7 that Melbourne just swapped for 10 and Bugg?

What does the discount mean with the equivalent pick and why is it implemented?

25% discount for academy picks, 15% discount for F/S picks.

It's just a compromise that was reached in striking the deal.

I think he potentially has a bit of X factor about him too. I just think we had nothing to lose and the potential to gain.
