Yes just like Ron Barassi, Ken Eustice, Peter Woite, Greg Williams, David Rhys-Jones, Neil Craig, Warwick Capper, Doug Barwick and Tony Lockett. Oh hang on, they weren't Gen Y though were they :)

Not to mention Doug Wade, Stan Alves, John Rantall, Barry Davis, Carl Ditterich, Bob Shearman, Alastair Lynch, Steven Sims, Clayton Lamb, Milan Faletic, Frank Stemper, Russell Morris and Gary Dempsey.

I might add, all of the interstate players who made up the first Brisbane Bears squad. All in the exact same position.

AFL get x million dollars for 8 games a weekend, the AFL will now get (potentially) x+12.5% (for 9 games a weekend)- I don't think crowd size is on the agenda...

BINGO thats what its all about.

The AFL will happily prop up the GC if it is struggling so long as they can keep there 9 games on t.v

Will still only be 8 games pw in 2011, just when the AFL needs the Suns to get off to a sound start. Anything less, and someone is going to be wearing a hefty loss.

yes but then the GWS will be in to provide another game the following years, the AFL will prop the GC up no doubt there not just going to let them fold.

If anyone think the two new teams are about growing the AFL they are kidding themselves, it is nothing more than gaining extra money for t.v rights, funny how there had to be 2 new teams not 1 or 3.

8 games per week most weeks but each team will still play 22 games so there will be 22 extra games overall (spread over 25 rounds I think?)

I'm not sure Day will be able to step up as a CHF next year.

He's obviously got a heap of potential, but i think it may take him 2 or 3 years.

Why do people keep listing Coad? Is he even training again after his injury this year?

Is he even good enough, really, I dont think too many forwards will be worried about seeing this bloke come to them, nor an ageing/injury riddled Bock...

Gold Coast will be whipping boys if they have that sort of back half lined up.

Can understand the dismissal of Coad but you don't think Bock has earnt some sort of respect as a fairly handy backmen (if fit, and if he's not fit he won't be lining up anyway)
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

McKenna said on the radio, that the form and ability Coad had shown before he got injured he would be penciled in for round 1.

Also, what other tall/solid bodies do they have that are better.

Coady can play thats for sure.

turn it up Boon if blokes like Ian Perrie, Nick Gill, Justin Westoff, Brad Miller etc etc can get an AFL game then Coady can certainly play AFL.

I wouldn't be too quick to lump Brad Miller in with those crew.

Ian Perrie is in a special SPUD class of his own...
