What was the limit on Adelaide Oval?
I thought it was set at 40k, surprised both clubs didn't even make it to 30k.

The lines to get in on Saturday were massive, would hate to see them if there were another 33% attending.

Both are still considerably more than North Melbourne have played before when you add both their games together

13,050
6,661

Got nothing to do with us, if Port are ever going to have bigger crowds than their rivals this is the year, Im genuinely interested in seeing how it goes as I would be pretty confident no-one thought it would ever happen, might be the tightest contest all year!
I don't think this will happen. The Crows will get bigger crowds, the base is simply larger.

The lower crowds for round 1 from the crows is most likely ticketing issues and teething problems getting it set up.

I suspect the crows will be up there this weekend as they are showing some promise so far.

Yep and I’m genuinely interested in North’s crowd.

Adelaides first game was impacted by ticketing issues but the way Port are playing they fully deserve to play in front of way more people

Been mooted for some time that Port have had salary cap room now and going forward, couple that with the list the team behind the scenes has built and it's been 3 very good years for the crew in the list management offices.

We'll be in the FA market in the next two drafts for sure.

You will have Rockliff's $'s free up at the end of the year also, while I like Robbie Gray Im not sure he is going to be a player that plays well into in 30's and wouldn't surprise me if this is his last.

Hartlett, Gray, Rockliff and Motlop all out of contract at the end of the year.

I think the smalls we've introduced will see Gray get one more year out of his body with less midfield minutes and the ability to manage him through the year, I think Hartlett gets one more but Rockliff and Motlop will need to prove themselves worthy of another year, I can't see Rockliff getting that done, Motlop might.

Dangerfield whilst serving his 3 match AFL suspension is allowed to play for Geelong's VFL team (as he did on the weekend) .. Thoughts?

The weekend was a practice match which I reckon is ok. If its for points then he shouldn't be allowed to.

Isn't this the last year of the Franklin contract, which was supposedly one the highest paid years.

If so that may free up a fair bit of room, in saying that though if the first two rounds are anything to go by they may need to save a bit so they can keep all of their academy guns.

2nd last year and reportedly $1.4m this year.

Almost perfect timing for them. Freeing a piece of that up at the end of 2022 season for the likes of Warner, Campbell, Gulden, Mills, Heeney who will all be under 25.

Absolute load of shit.

Agreed, so in effect it was a 2 game suspension.
Ridiculous!

Would think this Brisbane lockdown will be extended to 2 weeks and more border closures imminent. NSW could face the same fate so very real chance the the QLD, NSW and WA clubs are hubbed in SA or Victoria ASAP

I would have thought most of our space would go on the new contracts for the likes of Butters, X and Mitch.

Duursma, Butters and Rozee are all out at the end of 2022, but I'd expect some movement there.

Georgiades has already extended to the end of 2023.
