First priority is to lock those two away for certain. Two very good players who seem to love the club

you would think they are a lot closer to the cap now

smart recruiting by them though. free agents can make a huge difference to the club and you dont have to give up anything for them except coin

SPP already added to his contract. He's locked in until the end of 2020.

Wines is our next captain and will be locked in once the dust settles on the summer.

If you want to go far, go together.

SPP has already signed
Wines will be the interesting one. He's publicly declared he wants to stay...but at what cost financially? Not sure Port can match the $ he'll get offered from Saints, North, Collingwood etc
Then again, players have stayed for less before.

Already got gigs with 5AA and C9 and by the end of his footy career he'll have his commercial pilots licence. He's not going to be short.

True but there would be a couple of clubs offering over a mill a year for him and someone like North might be closer to $1.5m which is probably double what he could earn at Port but I’d rate him at zero chance of leaving

I'd say next year might be Boak's last year so Wines will be negotiating a new contract as the heir apparent.

Couple of our bigger deals aren't tied to the cap increase so he'll still be up there with his next deal.

If we were to attract anyone to the club next year it would be Lynch. But with Watts coming in, no chance now.

I know we were keen and had dialogue with Lynch, but Watts came out of the blue and grabbed him instead knowing we weren't guaranteed anything with Lynch. Not too tight on the cap with a bit of room to move

No way are you getting Lynch unless you mean Alistar coming out of retirement. Victorian clubs would have far more money to offer

lynch would go back to victoria if me moved you would think?

Speculating, but St Kilda would be the one I reckon. If they have a half decent year they will still have the cap space to throw him a mega deal

As i said, with Watts coming in, the coin for Lynch isn't there anymore. We wouldn't be able to compete with the 1.5 Million dollar offers from the likes of north & the saints.

The AFL ain’t letting Lynch leave the Suns. They will ensure he gets his worth.
They are paying Weller $600k outside of the cap so imagine what they would give Lynch

If Lynch were to move, it has Collingwood written all over it.

THE Port Adelaide Football Club is a strong and consistent advocate for fairness, diversity and equality in our Community.

These values are repeatedly reinforced in all of our indigenous programs, reconciliation action plan, our educational programs designed to call out Domestic Violence, our gender equality policies in the workplace and many other such initiatives.

We do not judge, discriminate or segregate – and we want everyone in the Port Adelaide family to feel welcome, included and equal.

It is with these important values in mind that the Port Adelaide Football Club expresses its support for marriage equality, acknowledging and respecting the right of everyone to participate in the postal survey as they choose.
