Carlton still have plenty of good players. Maybe Diugan is going to play on cloke. Who knows really. But still they'll be better without the third ruckmen.

They might not beat the Pies tonight but I've got a hunch that the Blues can come good. I expect that to happen once Murph returns.

They may come good but would still probably need to win atleast 6 to make the 8, big ask

They need to be looking to next year already for a serious crack. I dont know how far they would get this year. The issue is clear they need some tall forwards and not ruckmen forwards or Waite type forwards that are always injuried. They actually need someone who is a forward.

Maybe they need to look at trading Warnock to say the GWS and trying to get one of there young tall forwards. Clearly you wont get Patton or Cameron, but maybe Tomisilin or even look to trade with the power for Westhoff. I dont really have a definite answer but I think they need to look at something like that. You can play 2 ruckmen and rest one down forward, works well if you have 1 or 2 key talls. Waite is good dont get me wrong but you dont see him much these days.

Anyway they still have enough good players to play good football which we may see towards the end of the season.

Firstly, it's good to see someone providing constructive comment on other teams forum. So Stan, I dips me lid to you!

Stan, we could move Henderson forward if we got another key defender to help an inexperienced Watson and an injury prone Jammo. Henderson isn't the answer up forward to all of our problems but he's a good hit up half forward which we just don't have.

Waite isn't a FF, he's a third tall (if he stays fit). Which still leaves FF. If we had Henderson at CHF (hit up half forward), Waite (hit up third tall) that could mean we could leave Kruezer at FF. At the moment with no half forwards leading up the ground we tend to bomb it to FF where we're outnumbered but expecting our big guys to either pluck a mark or give room for our crumbers. The entry into the forward line has been dysfunctional, meaning that the delivery to the FF is often 1. over his head, 2. on his head or 3. easily chopped off by guys dropping back in the hole.

I think tonight, Watson will get a crack at either Dawes or Cloke, which could mean trouble. Not because I don't have faith in the guy because I think he's GOING to be very good, but not just yet, he's too young, inexperienced and worse still, Collingwood are very good at delivering it to the advantage side of a contest.

Warnock.......geez I dunno. Realistically we need a key forward while our window of opportunity is open (and that's while Judd is still playing). Getting Tomlinson wont help us in this window. A Cameron or Patton would however but you're right we're not going to get either of them. Getting a Crameri, Mitch Clarke, Hawkins, Darling (or dare I say it, Josh Kennedy!) type is really what we're after - someone to straighten us up.

I just hope Carlton get up tonight. For no other reason than to piss off Eddie Everywhere and all the other bogans who barrack for Collingwood

Brock Mclean sub ~x(

I think it has been proven that you need an impact player as the sub. Mclean is the in and under guy you want at the start of the game. This is a poor decision in my view. The coaching stuff have tried this once before and it failed miserably.

Nup, I'd rather have him the sub rather than Yarran or Garlett. Mind you, he's pick 43 in my preferences for sub, but I'd have him in front of both of those two.

Went for a mark on centre wing over a player and landed awkwardly. Came straight off and given the red vest almost straight away

thanks mate, no problems. My Collingwood mate of mine who has him in his footy team (supercoach and dreamteam) is just cursing him and wondering how long he's out that's all.

Cheers
