Aye.

This was my understanding too Booney. Surely you don't think Melbourne should have to use their pick three, for the son of a former club great, if Sydney had nominated him for their first round pick (22 I think)??

I'm looking into it now to see what it was and what it is.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Well, well, well. Wont this test "He plays for Geelong so he's a superstar" theory, REB?

Not a theory mate. FACT. Seriously though, pretty happy if we get Rivers he goes all right, not so sure about HMac who is struggling to stay on the park. I'm not sure how we are going to get Caddy AND McIntosh. Rivers and Caddy would do I reckon.

The father son rule really goes back to cover former VFL stars so why does not it apply to SANFL and WAFL ?
The VFL is now the AFL with interstate sides but founded and run by Victorians. Victorians do not recognise other states as contributors to football and arrogantly devised a rule just for Victorians not South Australians and Western Australians.
The non Victorian Clubs should band together and seek change or not play until it is resolved. How would a court case go ?

Geelong have picked up Caddy.
The 2 clubs have agreed to terms and it will be signed off tomorrow.
Geelong will give the Suns their Ablett compensation pick and also will swap other draft picks

What's Didak's situation at Collingwood? Has he signed?
Currently at Mawson Lakes Hotel. Probably home visiting family but any trip to Adelaide at this time of year is bound to prompt queries...

Considering the backlash at trading Lake, this one could be a hit between the eyes
