The problem is the ball coming into him boon is via 17 handpasses, 45 kicks backwards and hence he has to jump against 2 -3 blokes. I think the money was worth it to keep him, but based on what did happen it probably wasnt required as Bock was gone anyway.

Geez, Tippett cops a lot of crap doesn't he? Tony Lockett in his prime wouldn't be able to kick goals for the Crows they way they bring the ball in. Last night, there was one time Tippett was the only Crows player inside 50, their were SEVEN Saints players back there. God only knows where the Crows boys were.

A Crow had the ball, decided to go long, but missed Tippett by 30 metres!!! Seriously, a park lnad footballer would have done a better job of it. Walker has the same problem when he plays. They have to streaighten up and move the ball quicker into attack if they want those 2 players to kick goals. Let's face it, Craig has no idea what he's doing.

Walker's biggest problem is his laziness ...

Perhaps in a lost cause during the second quarter Tippett had two dead set opportunitys to give his side something to be positive about and shanked two set shots that the highest paid key forward at any club should kick. Ball goes to the other end and Reiwoldt kicks truly. Sure, the game was probably over at that point but to have any hope a bloke on the money he is on needs to kick those goals.

I agree, more often than not the delivery to him is very poor but when he does get an opprtunity, due to the lack of them, he has to make them count.

The crows performance last night was the most pathetic heartless insipid performance I have seen Since bays vs dogs earlier this year at playford alive oval.

If they are going to Lose walker Vince mckernan along with Stevens next year they will go close to the spoon.

I have never seen a team miss it's captain more. Maybe now people can realise how amazing Simon Goodwin was. Van berlo is a dud and anyone who complained about sheedys assessment has nfi. That side simply has no leadership.

Van berlo wouldn't make Geelong or collingwoods best 22.

According to "Ralph" on 5AA if a Crows player misses his KPI's at training for three times in a row they are supposed to be dropped to the SANFL, Ralph suggests that VB has missed his for 8 times and counting.

Phil Harper came on shortly after and refuted the claims but did admit it was 3 or 4 weeks in a row not 8

neil craig cant take all the responsibility for there continual rubbish performances. kinda feel sorry for the bloke, and im not of a fan of him.. its about time the players take some responsibility.. there pathetic who show no heart or fight. unless they do something special at west lakes i.e actually do something good when they recruit or weed out the junk (which there is alot of it) the crows wont make the 8 within the next 5 years... there is a small hand full of good players.
saying what i said bout craig, its time i reckon the crows really start looking really hard for a new coach... Paul Roo's, Malthouse... crows have the $$$$ to afford either of them... they should really start throwing around the coin they have... cant believe im gon to say this, but Fev will be available next season!! they need a forward!!! regardless of his past, he can play!

The Crows played now worse then what Richmond did against the Blues a couple of weeks ago.

I still find it unbelievable that Craig thought the first half was acceptable. Saint first five goals were so easy it was laughable.

They were 8 goals down what exactly did Craig like about it ??

Definitely the players need a kick up the backside, but it all stops with the coach ... He is ultimately responsible for overseeing those who manage the list.

Even those that feel the current squad isn't as decent as Craig has publicly rated would surely believe they are capable of executing the basic skills much better than they are/have been. He's also responsible for enforcing the style he wants them to play, and either they're not playing it or it's a crap style.

Either way a new coach coming in should shake up a stale house.

Have some posts been deleted from this thread? Don't tell me we can't troll those precious pansies here either! Anyway, I'm worried about my mate Gingernuts. I hope Mrs Nuts keeps him away from sharp objects over the weekend!

My thoughts as well. I was staggered when I heard him say they had more competitive ball and inside 50s than the Saints in the 1st half. I think Craigy was looking at the wrong stats sheet.

For far too long the AFC has accepted below standard performances from players, coached and the administration. As a long time member and supporter of the club this is no longer acceptable and I am sure I am not the only member who feels this way. If any of us in the real world went to our job and underperformed over 2 years like the AFC has we would all be looking for new jobs.

I belive many at the club think they are better than they are and the administration are still living in the past on performances the club produced in 97 and 98. I think the only way forward for this club is to have a full independent review on all aspects of the football club from the president down to the cleaner. If this review find people at the club need to go then so be it the club is far more important than any individual and if the rot is not stopped now this club will be in the AFL wilderness for the next 20 years like Richmond have been.

I think that is fair comment. As a Hawks supporter, I saw our club through a golden era of 8 flags in 20 years, and then within 5 years we plummeted to the cellar where we rotted for a number of seasons. Sure, we'd lost a lot of great players in a short time, but that wasn't our problem.

The Hawks realised that the game had passed them by, that they were hanging onto outdated methods that were no longer effective in the modern game. One of them was continuing to name Hawthorn people in top jobs such as coach, etc. One day they decided to take the quantum leap into the 21st century and join the rest of the competition. The appointment of Clarkson was a departure from previous practices of failed ex-Hawk playing coaches (Knights, Judge & Schwab).

I feel the Crows are at that point. Too many jobs for the boys at that club rather than searching for genuine talent, both on and off the field, and too much acceptance of average performances from players who should be doing better. The time has come for an outside coach to take control. I know it hasn't been successful in the past, but so necessary now.
