Come on Strawb, how dodgy are these 'Culture' comments? If you know so much about these two clubs I reckon you should post all you know to enlighten our viewing audience. For the good of the city! ;)

I hope the Crows dont go down this path. Yes Fevola can kick goals, yet a major part of the game these days is hard ball gets and turnovers, both of which Fevola strikes out on. If Fevola has issues at Carlton that are ongoing from last season, what is the garantee that a change of clubs is going to improve the situation? If the Crows want a quality forward, maybe they need look no further than Hargraeves of the Central District football club if they can trade for an early enough pick in the draft.

If he had Libba in a head lock, he may have twanged a Hammy to get down that low !!
I'd also put a few bob on Libba, as from all reports he can still go a few rounds quite well :D
At the end of the day Fev, is still a Blue, a tainted Blue, but still contracted til 2008. He'd be on the
top end of 500k that's alot of $$$ for a new club to find, plus offer a first round draft pick, plus player.
I wouldn't be too upset to see him go, as I'm sure Kennedy & Hartlett are worth a crack up front,
but if they do get rid of him, we need DEFENDERS (Take note Pagan if you read this   ).

Fev needs a club with a strong leadership group, and the crows need a natural forward, however I don't believe the crows will chase him, I think Craigy will only trade for ex South Australian footballers

Best full forward in the league and only 26... any team lacking a decent forward would be crazy not to at least consider him... thought it was poor for the crows to come out and say they are not interested so early in the piece. Been wanting a good forward for years and now one comes along they shut it down? :? :? :?

Best full forward in the league, very questionable

actually the club has not ruled out the possibility, Roo made the following comments

"He is a good player on the field, but he obviously has a few things he needs to sort out," Ricciuto said.

"He's been a leading goalkicker for a while, but that doesn't mean he would necessarily transfer over (to a new club).

"He is a good player -- and you don't just get given players like him. You have to give up players to get him."

In fairness to Roo, the media built it up a bit,

Roo made the same comments about Carey prior to the trade and Kirk made the same comments about Spider before the Swans traded for him

I don't think there's been any official club position on Fev. On this thread we have managed to create an official club policy based on some off-the-cuff comments by Roo. He hasn't even been sacked by Carlton yet! I am sure the club would look at him and then assess the benefits v his off-field behaviour, his age and what has to be given up to get him.

As any club would with any player.

Why do threads often turn around into anti-Crows sentiment with the Crow-haters waiting to have a dig somewhere, somehow - wasn't this thread about Brendon Fevola?

Scoob, spot on..that is why when the Crows joined the AFL, I stuck with then Blue Baggers as I couldn't stand the pandering and over ripe journalism used for the Crows...
If I wanted the sort of tripe dished up on radio and TV dedicated to the Crows, I'd go and subscribe to Womans Day ! :D

So you bag out the Crows because you have an issue with what the journalists choose to cover? How does that work?

Some of the Crow-hater stuff I read on here could easily be described as 'tripe' too - in your case should I now hate Carlton because of your comments?

How about we stick to the topic - B FEVOLA

Sorry i criticised the crows hondo, was only answering your question... I dont think FEVOLA will end up at the crows because they wont be willing to trade what it will take to get him. But in MY opinion I would trade anyone on their list...

If they Crows gave Carlton Rutten I'd be happy !!
I have a feeling that Fev may be staying at CFC, but will get moved on in 2009...

St. Kilda has a culture of Boards not working with the coaching/Playing group and vice versa. The club attacks itself from the inside and outside why do you think Stan Alves and Blighty got the arse from this club. They tried to change the culture of St. Kilda and it didn't work they didn't want to change.

Freo on the other apart from stupid trades just seem to be the wannabe eagles. They haven't gone anywhere in their short history in the AFL and when their players make bad decisions it does reflect on the club. I know all clubs have players making dumb decisions but to me Freo just seem to be happy to be in the competition.
