If North Adelaide left the SANFL to join the AFL (not involved in the SANFL in any way, shape or form) I would continue my undying loyalty to them in the AFL.

Port proposed to run AFL and SANFL teams from the same administraton but some of the SANFL clubs objected to this on the basis they feared the Magpies would be too strong - this caused the PAMFC to be the new entity with a new board, new CEO etc and in the early days were not allowed to train at Alberton and were required to establish a training base at Ethelton. The Port Club profit distribution being formally split was also a result
I am not sure how people can be so confused, unless they were too young to understand what happened and not aware of all the facts.

Their on-field nickname is still Port Adelaide Power
And they still don't like shortening it to Port Power
Not sure what you are getting at?

Seriously fellas, I am well over giving a crap what a clubs supporters think their heritage is. Boon can believe what he likes and so can any other Port supporter - even if they have 47 different interpretations of the facts.
All I care about are Essendon in the AFL and the Dogs in the SANFL.

PS Essendon are salary-cap cheating cry-babies!
