Thank you Port Adelaide Football Club

Talk on the national game

Fair enough Halo and not too far wrong, what happened 'to Norwood' was merely how I experienced what many other SANFL followers went through. But answer me this, how did a club that was not yet formed have anything to do with Norwood recovering from a very embarrassing situation?? You can't have it both ways, even if you do wear a halo!

Agree, Selwood looks ready to go, my gut feel is he may prove to be the pick of the recent top 10 draft crop, he was super impressive last week

The SANFL took a massive hit at the expence of the Crows theres no doubting that. My beloved Panthers were just comming good and the crows went and took Bickley, Smart, McIntire etc and most importantly John Reid who had just coached us to the finals for the first time in ages. With Norword though what I meant was It would be been a little embarrasing to see 4 or 5 of your best 20 in that era then wearing a Port gurnsey which is what probably would have happened if the Crows hadn't been formed. Port would have been admited into the comp instead and the best SANFL players at the time would have been lining up to get over there and be part of the first adelaide based AFL side. That's just my take on it anyway. Atleast blokes like Aish and McIntosh would have had more sence. :D
