Yes I can still hear Eddie snickering.
Not only did WC take that spud off their hands but they threw in Lynch for free

The Eagles used to be past masters at on-trading washed up players and gaining from it - e.g. Craig Turley, Ian Downsborough but now they seem to be on the receiving end.

Brisbane supporter commenting on recruiting, bit rich considering you took Brent Staker of our hands. Wellingham went up a notch in my books when he flattened the biggest seagull in the comp in Simpson. Will be handy on a wing/fwd flank, hopefully free up a Gaff,Embley,Rosa. Plus an enormus boost when it comes to getting Buddy next year.

Really hope our Goal Kicking is on this week. We should make a mess of Western Bulldogs, with Rosa, Nic Nat and Wellingham in, our team looks alot stronger, Rosa and Wellingham will free up Gaff and Shuey abit more. Should start seeing some serious football now hopefully. Our next 6 rounds are WB,Bris,NM,gws, rich,Stk
They all seem winnable games. Go into the break at 7-4 doesnt look all that bad.

Finally, a reasonable 4 quarter effort. Losing Waters before the match wasnt ideal. The introduction of Nic Nat into the Ruck, all of a sudden our midfield looked instantly quicker. Its about what i expected to win by tonight, against a pretty weak opposition. Only real concern i have is Mark Lecras. His kicking has not been the same since his knee injury, has almost no penetration.

Good win today, even without Kerr,Waters,Masten. Fought hard, kicked back when we needed. We are still having average patches of football, but we will only get better. Our back line is super strong at the moment and Glass is playing great football.
Next week is massive against the Roos. Win that, should easily play finals. Lose, and we push shit uphill all season.

Cant wait for tomorrow night. At the moment, every game is a must win. Kerr,Waters,Masten and Selwood back. We are pretty much full strength so we should be able to get over the top of Nth Melb.

Wellingham out for 5-7 weeks
Schofield 3-4 weeks.

To be honest didn't really want to play GWS this week. Would have much rathered the solid hit outs we have been getting, so we are ready for Richmond the following week. I think they may rest Cox, looks like he could use the rest.
In saying that, percentage will be vital.
Embley will return after 30 odd possies in the WAFL.

We are a disgrace
Worsfold has to move on.
Players to move on- A.Selwood, Embley, Butler,
To many players all at the one pace. Have no leg speed at all.
Lecras lost leg speed and kicking ability
Kerr, was a super player, can't play threw midfield anymore, way to slow, permanent forward pocket.

Premiership window closed.

Very dramatic. Premiership window well and truly open but player management a serious issue....

A lot was on the line last night and we didn't want it.
We have one of the best forward lines in the comp, but we do not pass the ball inside 50. We kick long to a contest and expect Kennedy and Darling to take contested marks. Lower the eyes and hit a pass and when we try its 5 metres from the boundary. Stupid football.

Kennedy's stutter seems to be getting worse every game, what the hell has happened to him.

Makes me think that although Butcher is an inconsistent forward with zero confidence, these goal kicking yips can happen to anyone, including established gun forwards.

Kennedy's kicking for goal is sill much better than Butcher's .. Doesn't look plant prettier, but is still more effective.

Reckon HK summed up last nights performance pretty well.

Worsfold reminds me of Thompson. Doesn't do anything once Plan A fails.
