Archer shinboner of the century, 3 times all Australian, 2 times premiership player, norm smith medalist, and second most games for North melbourne

I am not a north or hawks supporter. But for me they both deserve it

Also agree with the accolade going to the other inductees, all worthy recipients of the honour IMO.

The precedent was already set with Bickley and Dean Kemp.

I personally would find Archer borderline to be inducted, but going by those other inductees he's probably worthy.

Surely you jest about Archer, not sure what more he could have achieved in the game. Also voted the most courageous player by his peers 6 times.

Rapt for Robert Harvey, one of my favourite non-Roo players, was untouchable in his Brownlow years.

No problem with Archer getting a gig.

Harvey I would rank as one of the best I've seen.

When people present these players credentials, personally I wish they would leave out "x times premiership player" as I fail to see how that is an individual achievement.

Grant was more than average, one of the best in the comp during his time and would have more talent in his big toe than most of the forwards today. If he had played for a bigger club he would be remembered as a superstar.

just saw the inductee of glenn archer. and he is still the same. very unasuming, embarrassed, and thats the soft side ive never seen of him. amazing that when he saw that white line, he was so switched on and one of the hardest men this games ever produced, if not the hardest!

Agreed, he's pretty much up there with all the other inductees from last night.
