Selwood would be the only one at the same age with the same output

why do u think the cats are interested in him. He will also bolster our midfield stocks as well it depends what we can off for him.

My point was we would only trade him for Selwood

I dont think Dangerfield will head to Geelong. Thats really the only place in my opinion he would go to. To think Melbourne would have a chance of getting him is laughable. Gary Lyon must be on the piss again.

Seriously though I think Adelaide will keep him. Its funny though as soon as a young Victorian starts playing well, A Melbourne club must have him and hes definitly coming back to Victoria. Blah Blah Blah. Bloody hell it was like Butcher all over again.

We have the same issue in Perth. Its just what happens.

Strawb for Adelaide to agree on a deal, which they wont in my opinion. You would be looking at offer at least a Mackie and good draft picks. Menzel was a ******* bad joke if you are a crow supporter.

Dangerfield is a contested ball monster, hard nose and has plenty of pace. I'm not saying Mackie is a direct swap or anything like that, but thats the calibaire of player they would be looking for.

Actually if he wants back to Victoria, tell him you'll trade him to Melbourne. If Melboune put Trengrove on the Table then hey you might get somewhere.;)

If true that PD will re-sign, where does this leave Tippett? Me thinks he will be offered substantially less than his current deal which will see him ask to be traded to one of the Qld clubs. Adelaide to get a good draft pick and/or player in return.

Would Sam Day + draft pick be a reasonable ask?

The Brownlow-contending midfielder yesterday declared his sought-after signature would be on a new contract at West Lakes, possibly as early as the next fortnight.

"That's something that will be done over the next couple of weeks, I'm sure," said Dangerfield yesterday after an overnight stay in Melbourne for a Crows supporters' function.

"I'm not worried about it - something will happen before the end of the season, I'd say," the 22-year-old midfielder told Channel 9. This statement has prompted Crows players to confidently predict Dangerfield has cast aside the "come home" lures from Victorian-based AFL clubs Geelong and Essendon.

"He loves it here - I'm sure he'll stay," said fellow Crows midfielder Bernie Vince yesterday.

But Vince noted the stunning performances from Dangerfield in the past month - starting with his Showdown Medal-winning effort against Port Adelaide - will make a dent in Adelaide's salary cap far more than the counter-offers from the Cats.

Dangerfield will challenge out-of-contract key forward Kurt Tippett as Adelaide's highest-paid player at $700,000 a season.

GC couldnt afford Tip. They need to secure their young kids on longer more $$ contracts.... Adelaide will be able to work something out im sure, front ended/back ended contracts should give them room to move. The blokes around them will stay for slithly less $$ if finals footy is a regular occurance over the next 5 years

He has gone from "I'm sure" to "I'd say" quicker than Murphy went from being fit to having a broken shoulder...

With Sellar out of the picture, there is an abundance of room in the salary cap.

That's probably not true, I just wanted to say the words "With Sellar out of the picture".
