Don't mind Eddie away from Pies games and Fox Footy is awesome because BT is gone. However, the season is already over. Hawthorn have already won the NAB and the flag. Oh well, better luck next time for the rest of us.

Buddy in the middle is an interesting move. It works great when he's the kick out target but I don't think he has the tank and he didn't appear to appreciate the reduced room on the wing. I reckon Rioli might be the more permanent fixture there. Gunston looked the goods as did Puoplo and Schoenmakers is still shit. Mitchell was very prolific, particularly against North and he got a shitload of frees in the Richmond match. The Hawks played the best footy of the night but did not do so over the duration of both matches but that wouldn't worry Clarko.

The Tigers look to be carrying less passengers and they were the most consistent over both games. Jake King looks pretty good to me as he looks to build on an unlikely career. Dustin Martin looked awesome but Conca could be in trouble after cleaning up Adams of North. Fantasy targets Brandon Ellis and Steve Morris looked good with limited opportunity and former Demons player Maric impressed for Richmond. Inside Football spoke of an injury list of double figures for the Bluebaggers so the Tiggers could be a round one smokey.

The Roos played pretty well but were punished for not coming out to play for the first 15 minutes by a pumped up Hawhtorn. Ziebell looked solid in the first game and once Petrie gets is eye in up front he could be anything this season. Lindsay Thomas has done a lot of work on his kicking and it appeared to pay off early but some bad habits returned in the second hit out against Hawthorn. The jury is out on whether or not the Roos can make McIntosh and Goldstein work in the one side. Tarrant was played up forward as well tonight providing another marking target in the forward 50 which might not be good news for McIntosh.

Out of all the Fox team the only ones I don't like are Dermott 'His head is rolling down the race but there was nothing in it' Brereton and David 'Ostrich' King. Jako of course is even more biased than I am but he doesn't worry me too much (After all, I grew up listening to KG). Dwayne Russell comes out with some nonsensical comments from time to time but I have 'The Way It was 84' at home and on that vid alone he got knocked out about four times so understandble if you can hear rocks rolling around in there from time to time.

All of this is preferable to 'Wowee' Taylor, Malcolm 'that really annoys me grrr' Blight and Bruce 'A crucial ninety seconds this' McAvaney, who used to be a great caller of SANFL games in the early eighties.

didnt think there was a lot wrong with the Conca incident. Adams wasnt looking and appeared to run into Conca. Conca braced himself but it didnt look like he lifted the elbows or did anything malicious.
Are we really getting that soft? Would hate to see anyone get games for that

I think Richmond will show plenty this season. They have the makings of a good team. Maybe they are finally a chance this year against Carlton in round 1.

Just on Carlton, I believe they are going to be looking at playing 3 ruckmen. Might work, but obviously Kruzer will spend plenty of time up forward.

COLLINGWOOD coach Nathan Buckley says the club suspects Brent Macaffer has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), adding to the Pies' injury-plagued start to 2012.

The GWS showed a bit last night, but what it was that they showed was what we expected and to a degree what the Gold Coast showed early on as well. And that was they can play well in patches for periods of time, but will fall away a bit in the normal length games.

The old stagers did alright for them in Cornes, McDonald, Power and it was good to see Scully, Palmer and Ward out there.

The eagles young players look good early
And the younger ones from last year still look promising

I think josh hill has been better than I expected without starring

Is dick injured?
